This is the last PokΓ©Doll Model for me, by Brandon ... hooray, I'm finished!I kept putting this one off because, to be honest, Onix is NOT my favorite PokΓ©mon in the universe. So it has taken me a hell of a lot longer to build this one simply because I was not motivated in the slightest.
BUT, while I was making it, I realized that this one was actually pretty easy and fun to construct, and quite frankly, the finished model it's very impressive to look at!
It's very big, 20cm tall in fact. And the final version that will be available to download will have darker stitch marks, so that the fact that it is a plushie is more obvious.

Would you mind checking to see what piece(s) you rotated and how many clicks? It shouldn't be too hard comparing your build to the 3D model...It significantly improves the model and my old one tends to fall over a lot so it'd be great if I could get mine to look like yours.

The 3D model shows the tail bending towards the ground but I'd like to build it like yours (where the tail bends towards the ground). Did you rotate one of the pieces to achieve this?

I believe I requested that Brandon edit the 3D like this because I think the original model's pose would have been relatively unstable.

Well I built the model when it first came out and recently redownloaded the model and both have Onyx's tail curving up instead of forming that arch.

You know, I never noticed that before ... and I don't think that it had an extra edit, but it was such a long time ago now.
So I must have attached it on wrong ... and if I did, it would have been the fourth section from the tail.

Yeah, it does look much better on a lighter card stock - I was worried that it would blend into the background, because it is so pale, but with this creamy colour it's not too bad.

I agree, I'm really surprised at how good it does look!
I might actually suggest that we could include a standard texture in with this d/l pack, so that people could choose whether they want a doll or an actual Onix!

Er, yeah, I do, but it was early in the morning and I hadn't had any caffeine yet, so I grabbed whatever was first.
