#24: El Superbeasto - The Haunted World of El Superbeasto

El Superbeasto, the only good thing to come from the mind of Rob Zombie... and even then it's a major guilty pleasure for me. No, I'm not apologizing for that statement. I never have and never will like Rob Zombie by any means, his music only got me pumped when it was in Twisted Metal and that could have been any music really, I just like Twisted Metal. Fact is, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is the only thing he's been responsible for that I can actually will myself to watch, but I'll be the first to admit that it is definitely a secret shame for me.

Now, let me make this clear, I DO like El Superbeasto, but I feel it falls prey to the BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo complex. What do I mean by that? You see, BoBoBo is a series I want to like. I REALLY want to like. The idea behind it is hilarious... unfortunately the execution is God awful. So there's an odd place in my heart for it, but I also can't stand it. This is kind of how I feel about El Superbeasto. I truly find the concepts and characters of the film hilarious... it's just a shame that Rob Zombie had to be behind the wheel. I think it, much like BoBoBo could be FAR better if given to someone else who knows how comedy works better.

But I digress, 'Beasto was a last minute entry to this list, but I really wanted to add him, and if he made it in, that means for one reason or another I found him worthy enough. If you haven't seen it... I dunno, not really sure if I can suggest it that much. It's really just something you need to take your brain out for awhile to enjoy, but if you do, that's great.

((El Superbeasto is copyright Rob Zombie as I believe I made that obvious))

El Superbeasto had its moments, but the only thing that got my nerves about it is that some people think its from Spumco(ironically a couple of people who worked for Spumco worked on this though).

I'm a fan of comedian Chris Hardwick and his buddy Mike Phirman. Together they make the musical duo, "Hard & Phirm" they're music is easily my favorite part of El Superbeasto.
Unfortunate to see you're not a Rob Zombie fan but hey, it ain't the end of the world.

Rob Zombie's music can be okay, but I don't like him personally. I thought the musical moments of El Superbeasto were funny, but it quickly grew old as it was the same joke each time of just describing what was happening
