Roy's always been my second favorite of the Koopalings and I think this is my second favorite of the pictures I've drawn of them, it just turned out really well. I have this odd thing for turtle(or Koopa)shells... they just look really cool! I've always debated on whether or not Roy was actually cool, or the world's biggest poser. I liked the idea of making Roy kinda triangular, making his arms, chest and legs all broad then slim down, make him different from Morton, who was the same size, I just made Morton get bigger as he went down, instead... I think it works, whatever! I've always thought Roy took the most after whoever the Koopalings mother is, which is a question which has boggled Mario fans for years!

Oh. Well technically that's been the canon since the beginning, just like the fact that the Mario Bros. are technically twins, it was only fan assumption and mistranslation in cartoon spin offs that said otherwise.

I kinda knew that they were not his kids all along. One reason being Morton Koopa Jr. It led to speculation that Bowser's real name was Morton, which I would have found weird.

I always inferred that Morton was the name of Bowser's dad and had identical coloration to Morton Jr., thus why he was named as such.
