This is what many consider to be my best Super Mario Monster compendium picture, include myself. I just really like the way everything turned out, and this has helped me in so many drawings that came after it. Morton Koopa Jr. is an odball of the Koopa Kids in pretty much every way. He has different colored skin, a Jr. after his name, and a star over his eye that makes him looks like he belongs in KISS. Morton is the boss of the second area in Super Mario World, Donut Planes. I forget where he is in 3. His name comes from Morton Downey Jr., a talk radio host, and also a musician as I understand it.I made those rocks by myself, if your wondering. I get a lot of comments about them.

Well, Bowser Jr. has 'Jr.' in his name, too, but most people don't count him as one of the Koopalings (I like all eight as canon baddies), although I have little to no idea where Morton's 'Jr.' came from...Maybe his grandad, or an uncle? Do you still call them 'Jr.'? Hmmm...

Certainly one of your best. It even surpasses Roy Koopa (and that was already very, very good)! The skin and the rocks look great! That pose suits Morton well.

This has been debated for quite some time now, though I'm in the camp of thought that beleives that it's just a music reference, like all the other koopa kids.
