Description
This was the first picture I did for the Super Mario Monster Compendium, and it also helped to get me the staff artist position (along with another picture which'll come up later).

A Tanoomba is a cross between Goomba and Tanuki (a legendary Japanese creature also known as a Racoon Dog), and they first appear in Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga. They mainly attack with their large tails, but can also attack by turning into either one of the Bros (Tanukis have the power to transform into stuff), and attacking the opposite one. In M&L Partners in Time they return, even more powerful than before, with stronger transformations such as thwomps and spiney turtles.
