What do you have to do? : Simply draw Maria in this pose ---> on a plain white background with your signature on the side. Simple as that. When the deadline comes I will join all of our pictures in one (Or 2 if a lot of people join) Collage.
Rules

-Must be drawn by you.No stealing, bases , tracing or recoloring. It doesn't matter your skill level as long as you drew it.
-Digital Art is preferred but, if you are a traditional artist please try to make the scan as clear and clean as you can. No photo's of the art unless it's very high quality. Example : This was taken with a camera but is very clear. If the quality is too low I'm afraid it won't be accepted.
- Must be fully colored on a plain white background.
-You have 1 Month to finish the picture.(I"ll add more ti

When I saw this, I couldn't NOT take that opportunity to whip up a picture for one of my favorite characters of all times, the one I've spent 10+ years drawing and originally named my DA account after!

Maria Robotnik has always been one of the most underrated characters in the Sonic Universe in my eyes. Once you look into her story (but ONLY if you look into it, seeing as there isn't a lot of information about her in the main games), you find a lot of interesting details.
Such as the fact that she has NIDS (neuro immogency deficiency syndrome, basically AIDS with a slightly changed name), that she was 12 years old at her time of death, that she and Shadow were like brother and sister for an amount of time that varies from game to game (and, according to some, was all an illusion implanted into Shadow's head, which actually may have been the original plan judging from the events of SA2 and that would be pretty heartbreaking. They did, however, meet in the Archie comics and Shadow the Hedgehog).
In Sonic Battle, she is literally Shadow's soulmate (she, Emerl and Shadow all share one soul).
Her exact cause and location of death varies from game to game (don't even get me started on Sonic X, which is painfully inconsistent. It did give an interesting insight into the soldier that shot her, though).

Because of this, the amount of headcanons are endless. I have found great joy speculating and letting her character inspire me: her kindness, forgiveness and love that lasted beyond her tragic death.
