Here we have yet another request made by 4ATOMIC4, link: www.deviantart.com/4atomic4 , where I was asked to draw a full body pic of Maria Robotnik from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Besides posturing her in a manner similar to one of her profile pics from the games, I also had her tinted blue as an/ obvious reference to her main color scheme. Maria is a very significant character in the Sonic franchise. Not just being a relative of the franchise's main villain, Ivo Robotnik a.k.a. Dr. Eggman, but also having a close connection with the alleged "Ultimate Lifeform" himself, Shadow the Hedgehog. She's arguably the sole reason why Shadow was able to develop some empathy towards humanity, despite the fact that they were responsible for her demise. She not only plays a vital and sentimental role to Shadow's story, but she also adds a touch of darkness to both it and the franchise. Given how the events surrounding the raid of the Space Colony Arch, Maria was literally shot by a GUN soldier while trying to eject Shadow's escape pod as a form of saving him. That was quite the drastic turn for the franchise in terms of tone at the time. And this is a franchise where the main villain's goal is world domination via a robotic infestation, where in some continuities he's actually succeeded. Still, the fact that she's a contributing factor of what subconsciously motivates Shadow into being a protector of humanity is actually touching. Given how close the friendship was like between those two, the whole ordeal is rather endearing. It's like honoring a promise to a long departed friend. Info aside, I hope you guys like the pic.
