She is not immortal. She was NOT born four hundred years ago. Panem is North America in the future, after it has been destroyed(In an unknown apocalyptic event). The Hunger Games is based in the near-distant future.

There is a movie coming out in May of 2012.we watched a short trailer of it.you could hear Gale talking as if he read outta the book.but there are some ppl who think that its gonna be bad.as either a homeroom or team we r going to see it when it comes out.

She doesn't. I had a difficult time finding decent stock images with a bow and arrows. But even if I did, this is FAN art and I could've put whatever weapon I chose in her hand because it's MY art.
Besides, if Katniss had found a knife in the forest, you best believe she would've used it.
