Well also a reason I was just thinking if there are birds then a human could breathe there too. But yeah it looks cool and reminds me of J. Verne

This picture has an absolutely awesome mood.
The mysterious light from below and the (nearly 3 dimensional) fog make it a little frightening.
I love your dark visions of far future.

thanks... but it is supposed to be somewhere in the late19th or early 20th century in some kind of alternative steampunk reality

So I think this puts a new meaning in some of the pictures...I didn't really know this genre but it definitely sounds interesting.

reminds me of mixing Zen dimension with warcraft and a little of your usual sci-fi flavor.

Quotation from wiki:
Steampunk is a subgenre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely usedβusually the 19th century, and often set in Victorian era Englandβbut with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date. Other examples of steampunk contain alternate history-style presentations of "the path not taken" of such technology as dirigibles or analog computers; these frequently are presented in an idealized light, or a presumption of functionality.

What is it with concept artists in doing that anyway? It sounds interesting, though

I just notice a lot of concept artists go for the "Steampunk" sort of thing.

Your description is a good one, sketchbook. You explained it well. Steampunk is just a difficult concept to convey to someone who hasn't been exposed to it before. It's easier if they see it in a movie or read about it in a novel. It's like trying to explain Art Nouveau or something. It has to be seen to be understood. But you did well.

Oh, don't worry! Sometimes, I just don't phrase things too well...
The ideas look very original. But it's the whole time thing that gets me confused
