Summary:
Static is a quick and fast technician who knows how to dish out deadly static punches. He can dive in head first and make it out alive with his Charged Zoom, stunning his enemies in many ways, rendering them as easy targets for his teammates to pick off in battle. Equipped with an electrical wrench, makes him a semi-ranged fighter, able to throw it at alarming speeds. Swift and deadly with his strong crowd control abilities, Static is a force to be reckoned with in the battlefield.

Passive:
“Static Electricity” For every third basic attack, he will deal slightly more damage as it chains to 2 other nearby enemies.

Left Click:
“Static Energy Gauntlets” Punches forward dealing damage. Each time he lands a successful punch, his attack speed is increased by 0.5%, stacking up to 2.5% before capping out. If he does not land another successful punch or attack within 1.5 seconds, he will lose all of his attack speed stacks.

Right Click:
“Electric Wrench” Conjures a Monkey Wrench in his hands for 0.3 seconds before throwing it at rapid speeds. If the wrench collides with a surface, it will explode and give out a small static burst, dealing damage to enemies near it. If it collides with an enemy, they are stunned.

Shift:
“Charged Zoom” Charges in place, rendering himself a target for 0.9 seconds before dashing forward to a moderate distance. Reactivating the ability when dashing will end the ability early. While dashing, nearby enemies are treated with a weaker Static Electricity.

E:
“Lighting Burst” Slams both of his gauntlets down in 0.2 seconds, unleashing a quick burst of static waves that knocks enemies away from him, the closer they are to him, the further they are pushed away from him. If an enemy is pushed into a wall, they are stunned for a short duration than his Electrical Wrech.

Ultimate Ability:
“Raging Storms” Projects a strong pulse of static energy that attracts storm clouds to him, unleashing a series of lightning strikes to enemies in the area of the ability. If enemies are struck more than 3 times, they are stunned. During the storm, Taren is unable to move at all, reactivating the ability will cause him to end it early.

Personality:
Taren is often called by his coworkers, a sweetheart, a nice guy and the life of the party. He is always ready to lift the mood when it grows dull, putting smiles on people’s faces on Mondays and any other days. The technician enjoys to be around his co-workers and helping them in any other way, even as small as just passing the salt. He tends to get into fights thanks to his protective nature over himself and friends, although he constantly says sorry right after. But during his work, he usually relies on his supervisor or a veteran on what to do next, even once his task is over, he sits there, waiting for another task for him to deal with and often annoys his coworkers whenever they go out for lunch as he takes a long time to pick his order. But when it comes to desperate times, he completely relies on his heart, body and mind. Taren’s heart is pure, but as for his eyes are always wanting. He can’t help himself to look at others and get jealous of what he doesn’t have. The young male is laughed at for his gullible trait, always getting pranked by some of his friends at work, which causes him to doubt on himself and is always too scared to speak up for himself and the eyes that stare at him.

Background/Bio:
Taren grew up to be an interesting child in Wales, as he was born with the ability to generate static electricity from within. He lived happily with his family and older sister before having to be separated from them at a very young age and was chased into a forest where he stumbles upon an abandoned facility during the Omnic Crisis.

Entering the facility changed his life, as his gift activated once shutdowned human like omnics that eventually became his only friends and family. The omnics were emotionless till he came, they developed personalities as Taren grew older, they felt happy to be with him as much as he does with them. They began to teach him how to repair, clean, upgrade, cook and every necessary things of the life of an average human, robotic technician as that was his dream job and a bit of boxing from one of the omnics.

Years later when he was 20, he found a slot in a local facility where at first he was afraid to interact with his coworkers as he was isolated from other human beings for years, but with time he became everyone’s sweetheart. With the help of his coworkers and his omnic friends, they brought the abandoned facility back to its glory which he now calls home and his workshop. One day as he was returning home, his gift grew stronger and emits pulses that caught the attention of Talon in which they raided his home and tried to hack into his friends. Although with him being there as he watched his only family being taken away, he stopped them and sent them running with his new found static electrical abilities. Now the omnics knew how they developed emotions, it was because of his gift. He gave them a heart with his spark.

A year later as he was taking a stroll along King’s Row, he encountered a gang of robbers robbing a bank. With his Static Energy Gauntlets that his friends had built for him for birthday, he zapped into action and swiftly took them down which caught the attention of the famous Tracer, Lena Oxton. She wanted to recruit him for Overwatch as she saw potential in him, but the young technician couldn’t decide and simply said he would think about. Lena then gave him her phone number and told him to give her a call when he has made up his mind. Till this day, he is still considering it.

- His fringe color is the aftermath of his static outbreak
- His favorite tool is the Monkey Wrench, and often he throws it at one of his omnic friends whenever they are misbehaving around him
- As he grew older, he developed a love for baseball and became an extremely good pitcher which explains why he can throw a freaking monkey wrench at the speed of sound
- Whenever he expresses strong emotions or using his abilities, his fringe will glow slightly
- He often has to wear rubber gloves when going out casually to not shock anyone he touches.
- When sneezing, a shot of static electricity will be projected and bounces across the room. Don’t make the poor boy sneeze please
