this is something I did for class. I basiclly painted as fast as I could possibly paint with gouache. I'm like 60 percent happy with it considering I;m getting back into paint.Related content

You painted that fast?! Wish i could do that... I agree with the others, the backlighting is good and adds to the sense of dread, the dark wings doubly so.

Yes, It does look like kind of an undead batman.
But overall, I like it. the shade is very strong and it accentuates the contrast *grin* good job.

Whoa, that's really smooth. Was it acrylic? Because no matter how hard I try, I just can't shade that smoothly. Good job! XD

I'd say, really hammer out the basics. Like the planes of the face, and the anatomy of the eye. Even though your style is more anime, you could still apply it.
Buy any book my Andrew Loomis. And if you learn from that, your stuff will naturally start to become more and more professional looking.

Hey man, nice lighting elements. Gouache is tricky but I do like that its one of the only paints that has that instant opaque quality.

This is pretty neat- at first glance, I thought it was a twisted take on batman. Something about it reminds me of some of Dave McKean's work. Can't place what, though.
