Anyway, I particularly love how you had drawn the nails of his feet. It really comes forward it's kinda glossy black. Do you use any kind of reference when drawing shiny objects?

No, he's a product of Mutagen Ooze, just like the Turtles. It's just that he's an alligator snapping turtle while the TMNT are regular turtles.
