I'M ALIVE HERE HAVE SOME FANART WITH A SIDE OF BACON AND AWESOME.Finally. This took me a while. Started out as a lined-paper sketch I made during one of my classes, then I decided to digitally color it.
I think I'm getting the hang of this digital art thing
didn't come out EXACTLY how I wanted it to in some areas, but I still like it.Homestuck and I have a love-hate relationship. But I had to draw this. Because ribbons. Also because black flames, which weren't as fun as I thought they would be. Also, Dark Rose's theme was stuck in my head.

Okay.. wow.. You have a very good sense of composition! If I had any suggestion at all, it would be to try to emphasize the flow of the composition by more carefully aligning all of the elements at play into the "wedge" made up by the black flames.. The light area at the bottom also interrupts the drawing's flow by creating too much competition with the focus of the image. I'd recommend thinking of drawings like this as a unified whole from the very beginning.. because what you have here is a very good attempt at establishing a composition after the fact by adding elements to a preexisting pose. Nice sense of the form beneath the fabric, btw..
