“Well?” Corona asked, shrugging her shoulders and fixing her tie. “How do I look?”

Celestia smiled at her daughter and loosened the tie for her a bit. “Lovely. You wear your new uniform well, sweetie.”

The young centauress let out a relieved sigh. “Okay, good. I’m really not used to wearing ‘em for school. I never thought there’d be an even stricter dress code than Canterlot’s.”

Celestia chuckled at her joke, but fell silent shortly after, the mention of their home city bringing back some unpleasant memories of the preceding weeks.

“Somethin’ wrong, Ma?” Corona asked, noticing the alicorn’s sudden shift in mood.

“Oh, it’s nothing, Sunshine. I just… I just wish things could’ve gone better for you in Canterlot, that’s all.”

Corona bit her lip, immediately knowing what she was talking about. “I do too, Ma… But what happened, happened. Let’s just be glad it didn’t get worse, ‘kay?”

The princess nodded, taking a deep breath and looking her in the eye. “You’re right. You’re in a new school now, and I know you’ll make friends here. Amore Academy has a much more diverse student body than Canterlot Academy.”

“Heh, now you sound like the brochure.” Corona looked outside the nearby window, peering down at the students gathering in the courtyard for the first day of school assembly. “I should probably get going. Thanks for comin’ to see me on my first day, Ma.”

Celestia sniffled and have her a warm peck on the cheek. “You’re very welcome, Corona. Your father is going to come visit you this weekend, okay?”

“’Kay,” she nodded before galloping off. “I’ll be sure to write! Love ya, Ma!”

The sun princess smiled and waved as her daughter left with an excitement that she hadn’t seen in a while. “I love you too, Sunshine.”

Corona's first day of school.

I decided to rename the school to Amore Academy. It's simple and to-the-point, and I think it's a fair assumption that the crystal ponies would name a school after their late former monarch. I also decided to give the school a uniform. There are different styles available for students and they only have to wear the full jacket/tie combo on important occasions like the assembly mentioned in the above snippet.

It was mentioned in Corona's bio that she decided to transfer out of Canterlot to get away from the taunting and nasty rumors she had to deal with there, and while it saddened Celestia to have to separate her daughter from her and Tirek, she also knew that it was what she wanted as well as what was best for her.

Letting Corona go was not easy, and the first few months were difficult for Celestia to get through, but with help from Luna, who went through the same thing with her own daughter, she is able to get used to not having Corona around.
