Personality:
A natural-born showman, Smokescreen prides himself in his “performer’s heritage,” referring to the fact that he’s the son of a showmare. The young draconequus claims that he was born to perform, so he jumps at any opportunity to put on a show, whether or not the timing is appropriate, and like his mother, Smokescreen feels the need to announce whenever he and his sister enter a room. Occasionally, he’ll cross-dress as his sister or his alter-ego, Mirror Grace, just for the sake of messing with others.
As the spawn of Discord, Smokescreen’s chaotic tendencies manifest in his aptitude at pranks. When he’s not performing, Smokescreen finds enjoyment in pulling practical jokes across the Crystal Empire, and during his younger days, this got him visits to the principal’s office, visits that only got more frequent once his sister, Azure Deimos, transferred from Canterlot. These visits, however, are only a formality as the principal actually enjoys the twins’ pranks and their visits have become so commonplace that they have their own chairs set aside for them.
Despite his pride in the art of pranking, Smokescreen strictly abides by what he calls The Prankster’s Code. Some of the stipulations include “never use a victim’s personal fears,” “never exploit a victim’s past traumas,” and perhaps the most important one, “NEVER prank Dad!”
Smokescreen currently works as the opening act for his mother’s shows alongside Azure, and they’ve had successful solo shows in Las Pegasus, Manehattan, and Canterlot. Sometimes, he can’t help flirting with some of the groupies.

Relationships:
Smokescreen and Azure dub themselves as “The Eclipse Twins.” While the two siblings have the same father (Discord), Smokescreen was mothered by Trixie Lulamoon while Azure was mothered by Luna. The twins were born eight minutes apart (Azure being the oldest) and spent the first few months after their birth living in Canterlot until Trixie found a permanent performing gig in the Crystal Empire.
Despite the distance between Smokescreen and his sister, they still remained close as Azure had the ability to enter his dreams. He also has a great respect for Azzy’s pranking skills and believes she’s the better prankster, but he wishes that she followed the Code. Smoke loves his sister dearly and believes that while he can carry a show on his own, it’s nothing compared to what they can pull off together. To him, performing feels incomplete without Azure, and sometimes he can get very protective of her.
Smokescreen has always looked up to his mother, Trixie, and he hopes to one day be as great of a performer as her. His trademark jacket was hoof-stitched by Trixie, and while it took a few years for him to grow into it, Smokescreen wears the jacket with pride and is rarely seen without it on. Call him a momma’s boy if you want, but it won’t stop this draconequus from loving his great and powerful mother.
Discord is immensely proud of his son embracing his chaotic nature. While he’s not so keen on the Prankster’s Code (save for that last rule about never pranking him), seeing his little Smoke Puff spread his own brand of chaos brings tears to his eyes makes him very proud, no tears involved. Discord would sometimes invite him to tea at Fluttershy’s, but Smokescreen was more of a coffee drinker, like his mother.
Smokescreen has a good relationship with his stepmother Luna, and he looks forward to whenever she visits the Crystal Empire.
Smoke was Chitin’s first friend in school, and they’ve remained close ever since. He’s made it his “mission” to get him and Flurry Heart together, mainly because he wants their union to be The Eclipse Twins’ first wedding gig. Sometimes he’ll cross-dress into Mirror Grace if Chitin ever needs to practice his approach.
Jade Charna tends to bring out the flirt in Smokescreen, as they often playfully tease each other. They insist that they’re just friends, though.
