This concept is wonderful. The arching of the neck to the sky, with a yearning to fly...and taking wings from some poor bird to do so, except learning that it can't...Very, very good.
The mask reminds me of those medieval doctor's bird masks that they wore to stave off the smell of the plague.

what's he gonna do with bloody wings? stick 'em on his shoulders and hope they stay on? the poor crow...

This picture made me think about some people I know. Sitting there with their masks, wondering how to be the same as someone else.
We should learn to love ourselves a bit more, and learn to take advantage of our own abilities - always for good, that is.
Also, I'm sorry for the bird.

Love it, i cant really say what it is, maybe its the colours, and so sympol (little detail) but gives so much emotion, sorry i cant give much thought to it, but thought i should leave you a comment as well as adding to my favourites.

i don't understand why almost everyone is just saying "aw how adorable" and nothing more?
do they not see the bloody dismembered wings on the floor or does everyone think thats cute? it seems like people just overlook the meaning of a drawing when they only see a cute style.
Quite sad no one cares to notice, but this picture has a lot more emotions and meaning to it then "omg so cute <3 Lulz foxxx."

no problem. i know i get annoyed if people sees nothing but "omg cute! omg hot!" or w/e. it just makes the commenter sound shallow and dense. glad to be the one who acknowledges the meaning behind the image.

Ahah really? i saw a lot more of the "aw cute fox. this image is so cute" more often. as for the "poor fox/poor bird" bit, i did see it, but it seemed kinda like., it seemed like they were just saying it more then anything w/o anything behind it.

Oh, you're right, nothing is crueler than reality. Some People tend to blank out reality and get excited about much lesser important things.
But I don't want people to cry over some random dismembered wings. A lot of comments here show, that this picture makes people think, that it conveys emotions (not only "omg, poor bird, poor fox..."). And I'm very lucky about this

Oh they're right, it does convey emotions. My heart pangs when I imagine the look of yearning on the fox's face, and for me that's what makes it a good picture.

I like how you can take it two ways either he really wants to fly or he is using a disguise so when a bird comes to teach him to fly he eats them.

I like this one particularly. There's an interesting contrast here. You used that simpler, 'cuter' style here, but the image itself is a bit darker than usual for that style. The title gives it a bit more depth, and the mask and the severed wings create a more melancholy, introspective mood. The fact that they're severed is one of the poignant parts. All in this little picture.
