...and skifi was raised from the dead....
When I first tried digital art, I got used to bright, cheerful, saturated tones, glowing colors. And they looked nice. For some strange reason, since one or two years ago, my colorworks became dark, grey.... boring :[ Damn, I even stopped adding the lights layer and only shaded the base colors! Shame on me.
A few people made me realize it (thanks to =ArbokCobra and *seel-dingo for the criticism) and now I'm going to try an U-turn. It's not like.... changing everything, but at least coming back to the origins :]
So, even if my colorworks will keep being crappy and sloppy, at least they will be bright and cheerful again!
That's why I have usen a commission done by the amazing and talented *Petite-Emi featuring Curr: Nothing better to add some vibrant colors than our favourite blue slave-boy!
Hehehe, it's hard to decide, but I think her rendition is one of the coolest versions of him I have ever seen.... :3 Kudos to her!

I just wanted to thank you and personally.
Not only is this one of the most awsome Curr drawings in
existance, but it's timing was perfect. I've been struggling
with a character of my own, because I could never get the hair
right. Well, this drawing of Curr was just the inspiration I
needed, because I think I've finally nailed it. With a little
luck, you'll see him, soon.

Just wait till you see the results. The more I refine it, the more awsome this drawing looks. The only sad thing is, I have a job now, so I can't work on it all the time, much as I badly want to.

a couple of towns over from where I live. I work for their
Food Preperation Department, which means all the dishes the
cooks use, I have to clean, along with the bins the food for
the salad bar and the asian hot food bar. It's a lot of hard
work and it can be very hectic. *Laughter* About like your
job, but without the blood.
The only bad thing is that I work an evening shift; while
we're technically supposed to get out at 11pm, I've been
getting home at well after midnight, a lot, lately. Too
much of that makes this mouse a grouchy boy. It's not
physically being tired I mind, so much as the
emotional exhaustion. It doesn't help nights used to be
when I was likely to be at my most creative.

I guess an evening shift would be hell for me. I wouldn't be able to wake up early in the morning to take advantage of the day, so I would be all lazy in the morning, then go to work, come back, and once back home it would be so late I would feel like doing nothing else ^^ With a morning shift, at least you have the evening for free :3

Ooooh this is really bright and happy, but really I love both ways of coloring, I tend to go dark myself. It's nice to come back to something light though. Curr looks adorable here, I want to ruffle his hair ^^
