...and skifi was raised from the dead....
When I first tried digital art, I got used to bright, cheerful, saturated tones, glowing colors. And they looked nice. For some strange reason, since one or two years ago, my colorworks became dark, grey.... boring :[ Damn, I even stopped adding the lights layer and only shaded the base colors! Shame on me.
A few people made me realize it (thanks to =ArbokCobra and *seel-dingo for the criticism) and now I'm going to try an U-turn. It's not like.... changing everything, but at least coming back to the origins :]
So, even if my colorworks will keep being crappy and sloppy, at least they will be bright and cheerful again!
That's why I have usen a commission done by the amazing and talented *Petite-Emi featuring Curr: Nothing better to add some vibrant colors than our favourite blue slave-boy!
Hehehe, it's hard to decide, but I think her rendition is one of the coolest versions of him I have ever seen.... :3 Kudos to her!

I'd love to be able to work with you more often. I know this was a collaboration and you maybe didn't really want to draw it, but be sure I'd love to bribe you or lure you to do something else together, I have enjoyed it and I think our works match! :3

As for your colour works, saturated colours or not. I think they are well-done. I don't think it is the brightness of the colours that mattered so much as how the colours were used with eachother. In my opinion, it is that chemistry of colours that brings out true beauty of a coloured piece. This working unity of the colours is something that I will probably never be able to attain, but it is certainly a good thing that atleast you have it done well. It is praiseworthy. :>

Dunno, I sometimes feel like... colorblind. And I know there are a lot of smart color theories I don't know about and I should learn... maybe that's why I fail so much, but also why it sometimes work, in a random way. I need to explore that :3

Pues segun mi opinion, me gusta mas el estilo que tienes aqui en este dibujo. Es como mas nitido, definido, claro y por sobre todo (y lo mejor, para mi) mucho mas brillante y con tonos mas vividos!
(no he usado termicos tecnicos, porque sinceramente los desconozco, te aviso por si algo no te cuadra de lo que dije jaja)
Espero volver a ver nuevas pintadas tuyas por aqui! y espero que sea con este estilo, porque si bien el otro me gusta, este nuevo me deja un mejor sabor de boca!

Algunas opiniones he oido de que se pasa un poco de brillante.. como si me hubiera saltado de un extremo a otro sin termino medio.... XD;;; Igual tengo que afinar un poco

Puede que sea asi, es cuestion de que vayas probando y de que tu tambien te sientas a gusto con el estilo. Yo prefiero este extremo que el otro, pero es una opinion personal no basada en ningun parametro profesional jaja.
De todas formas me gustaria ver algun trabajito tuyo intermedio, a ver que tal!
