That earring helped break the flower illusion that Queen Beryl had cast on Sailor Moon. Not sure if her earring was planned all along from the very beginning or not..
But come to think of it, the story of a garden without a rose is similar to another story I've started to read recently called "Queen of the Snow" or "Snow Queen" with characters Kai and Gelda... I should finish reading that sometime. Oh, it's available online too [link]

It is in acrylic paint. I prefer acrylic over oil because the dry time makes it more challenging.

No doubt, oil can stay wet for weeks D: But I find it hard to use acrylics too because they start to set TOO FAST on the other hand, imho. Do you have that problem too? I heard there are special mediums one can add to acrylic to make it workable longer, in case someone is a 'slow' artist or begins their adventure with them ?

I rather like that the paint sets very quickly. I do have training in oil painting, but with oils I liked to use mediums to speed up the dry process as much as possible (galkyd or cold wax). I like that acrylic dries quickly, and that it requires me to mix the paint ahead of time and frequently, and to work quickly.

It looks like the nose has a weird bend and the eyes seem too big to fit this style, but because of that it makes it more easily recognizable that it's Sailor Juipter.
The details are amazing.
