We have the driest powder in the world of any ski hill
For about 8 months though
At first its all exciting but after 6 months or so and it just keeps getting deeper then its not as fun anymore.

Thanks! Well I got out for some pictures in September then I got Christmas day off and Boxing day so went to the ski hill that day and got some pics. Then I had New Years day and the following day. 4 days off in 6 months. I have nobody to run the store so I can't get out at all
If we can get on track I want to have a day off a week so I can go to take pictures, That's sad isn't it

I burned myself out years ago I don't feel much now, just keep moving on.
I do appreciate the help I get. I was a single Dad when my girls were 1 and 3 for 2 years. I did it all and worked 100 hours plus a week. After 6 months of that I regrouped and went back to school and made a lot of changes
I quit drinking 8 years ago and smoking 7. I got out of the life as a fisherman so I can see my family grow up unlike my first daughter when I was away all the time at work. I don't know her now and she's 25 next week.

Oh believe me I earned my stars
My kids mother does nothing but drink and she has no responsibility. The girls got a doll one xmas and a card 3 different years in 8 years. I've committed and turned my life upside down to accommodate them and I was doing quite well on my own. But I sure appreciate my wife now

skip2000 In reply to PassionatePurple [2011-01-14 21:40:14 +0000 UTC]

Mine are too. I'm left dealing with the mess the mother created with her drinking while they both have FAS and the youngest is on medication to help control her so obviously they mean a lot to me. They have been a challenge but things are getting a bit better all the time.
We're teaching them right from which was a challenge in itself. They were wild animals when I got them and it took years of training to get the reigns. We can't let up on them now. Its consistent high structure. They were heading for the system when I got them and I gained control of them all by myself so I'm pretty proud of that. I believe it may have saved them from a very tough life.

or a nice cold bottle of Top Grade Canadian beer, but you'll
never get me on ski's.

that's ok. When I do allow myself a couple, it's usually Beck's anyway.
Can't have much now. Taking that much valium and drinking is too dangerous.
The headaches don't improve much either. Valium is what works best against the
anxiety attacks, so I take that exactly as prescribed. That in turn helps my
blood pressure come back down where it belongs. Right now things are working,
as long as I do what the doctor tells me. I don't need a stroke.

Why do we always have to worry?
I'm sure my days are numbered. I worry sick all the time and I can't control it
Would be nice if something good happened and I could stop it but just seems to get worse every day.
I even worry about worrying too much!
