First soari ref update, JK!

The young soari shorten their names (to the disdain of the previous generation) and I'm sure they give more nicknames to one another as well. I'm not too familiar with JK's peers other than Kwiva, but I've learned that JK was a bit emotionally distant with them. She got treated differently and she got conflicting messages from caretakers, some praising her potential with enthusiasm and others warning or even threatening her to tone down what she was capable of. Pertrowoel was the first teacher she's had that fully encouraged her to push her limits without placing seemingly arbitrary restrictions on her. It's easy to see how she got swept up by that.

The post war soari laws will get mentioned pretty often in these ref sheets. Gyrokinesis (manipulation of gravity) is a core ability for the soari, and in its base state it simply helps them fly easier, faster and with improved maneuverability. The advanced form - which was commonly taught in pre-war era to the most skilled individuals - revolves around manipulating the gravity of one's surroundings or even transferring its effects to a target at a short distance. While not too practical in daily activities, the advanced form is very useful in combat and was used by the soari in the war 30 years ago. Due to its perceived weapon status, the advanced form was strictly forbidden as part of peace negotiations at the end of the war. The soari who have mastered it are either long dead or stopped showcasing their skills, and the younger soari born since either don't know it exists or only know it vaguely as dangerous for themselves and others.

JK believed it too, but never got a proper answer to why something that came so naturally to her was supposedly harmful. Most soari agreed to bury the talent for the benefit of their society, but some individuals such as Pertrowoel see the slow disappearance of advanced gyrokinesis as degradation of their culture. I don't think he's wrong. But going against the current has its consequences and he dragged JK into it with him.
