TID is a public service in Tharinas that stores and shares information about pretty much anything you can imagine. Like the internet, if the only website available was wikipedia. This would be the screen that greets you at public access points scattered around the free zones in Central and its adjacent clusters. The system runs on repurposed military communications networks and works a bit like torrents in the sense that the data within gets transferred peer-to-peer instead of through a select number of servers, so as long as there exists a single source for any information, it can be accessed and spread along other devices.

TID has a verification system where users provide feedback on each article and verify each others' feedback, giving each article and user a verification status based on the feedback, which helps people make decisions about the validity of information they find. No info can be 100% verified as a result, but such is the nature of information - fluid and shaped by the way we think and talk about it.

In the future I'll be sharing some worldbuilding concepts and lore about my headworld, and I'll be using the TID layout to do so. That way I'll be able to leave some things intentionally obscured without creating an obvious gap for you guys to get frustrated with. Some things only I know about and the characters are either unaware or directly wrong about the state of things, and with some things it's simply better storytelling to leave them as surprises for later. And TID is only public information after all. Theories and unconfirmed rumors can exist within it as well, but their reliability will be reflected in their verification status.

I'm looking forward to making some entries~

Ps. I was so tempted to name it Tharinas Interstellar Library instead, making the abbreviation TIL ("today I learned"). Would have been real funny but a bit too on the nose. I'll do it though if I change my mind later lol.
