.... FINALLY!!!Gee, this comic killed me the last two and a half days (yeah, it really took THAT long...)
Ok, to the comic ^^
I was really suprised to see in a fandom that mostly produces f/f fanfiction there is so few m/m stuff and usually people are avoiding it like hell xD
(I know there are much less male characters and so m/m is pretty rare, but the general reaction to it is extremely funny)
Love and tolerate... my flank ^^ Some of the best fanfics I have read are m/m so I support this genre with all my heart
So this is kind of a parody to the general double moral amoung Bronys

I personally ship way more yuri than yaoi in my head, due to the difference in gender ratio, but people hating on the latter is just ridiculous. Could be the same with anything else, like liking the show is one prominent one. Same thing here: You're tolerated as long as you go along with what I do.

it's not a moral problem for me. I just don't enjoy reading m/m shipping. in fact I kinda get sick just thinking about it.
Honestly I don't really like reading f/f either but because the majority of shipping art and fan fiction is of it and given the choice of the two. I choose the less gross one.
Now for some m/m shipping is not gross and I'm not saying you cant write a great fanfic worth reading of a m/m ship. I'm just saying I would find myself gagging when it got to the shipping parts of the story and so avoid it all together.
I tolerate the f/f ones because I am a male and the idea of to females getting it on brings to mind the fact that they are still females and who don't like sexy females? (well except maybe gay men but you get what I'm saying).
I think that this is not so much a double standard so much as a personal preference.

Not liking something is fine, but agressively punching it when you're not forced to stay in the same room with it is a dick move.

I've never had a problem with any of it. I read Yaoi fics for a living. (I watch Yu-Gi-Oh!, that has, out of everything I've read/seen, the biggest Yaoi love. And I watch MLP, which, also, out of everything I've seen, the biggest Yuri love.) I'm not very shippy on MLP (I probably will sometime soon, though... The same thing happened with YGO...), but I've never looked down upon it, because mainly that'd make me a hypocrite, since I'm a fan of multiple Yaoi ships... xD
(I just realize how backwards this fandom is. XD Most everything I've read/seen shipped Yaoi and almost-shunned Yuri [Haven't seen a popular Yuri fic yet.], yet this one is the opposite. XD)

The same way I don't get why the author who wrote the story with Nyx should be "ashamed of themself" for creating a cute character that people like =/ Though I choose to see that as a sort of jealousy and panties-in-a-knot frustration that they didn't come up with that idea first.

There's a Soarin/Braeburn masterpiece called "Social Standards". For the moment, it focuses more on Braeburn coming out of the closet than on the relationship itself, though.
