Description

Three part intro here, one for the host, one for the symbiote, one post merging.

The host:

Cynthia Lyubov came from a second generation, migrant family. Her parents struggled to live in the city, but eventually moved out to the rural areas. Feeling that country life didn't suit her, Cynthia ran away from home at the age of 16. Her attempts at trying to live on her own failed, one thing led to another, and eventually life found her as an escort in the seedy parts of the city. Working in one of the Dock's many nightclubs, she managed to catch the attention of the mob boss, Cormac.

Cormac fell madly in love with the charming but stubborn girl, while Cynthia was exhilarated that she managed to gain such an important client. But the head of the underworld has many enemies, and Cynthia was soon involved (unwittingly) in a plot to kill Cormac. Feeling betrayed and heart-broken, Cormac ordered for the death of those involved, including Cynthia.

The symbiote:

Traveling through space via a portal opened from the collective psychic energy of the Symbiote Homeworld, the Progenitor came onto Earth seeking to colonize this backwater planet. Earth is considered a low priority target, as there were barely any psychic emissions detected by the Overseer. The glory of assimilating worlds with high psychic potential goes only to the stronger Symbiotes. The Progenitor felt that it deserves such glory, but will still carry out the task given by the Hive Queen (though begrudgingly). Perhaps success in colonizing this planet would improve it's standing.

Carrying six of the Queen's precious eggs, the Progenitor's task is to find the strongest predators of the planet and let the Queen's children assimilate and gain their abilities. Once successful, they'll spread the new, locally adapted symbiotes into the ecosystem. When the critical mass of symbiotes is achieved, they can gather the collective psychic energy to create a psychic beacon. The beacon will let Homeworld know that the colony is successful, and proceed to open more portals to the colony. Thus, it is also the Progenitor's role to guide the Queen's children to this eventual conclusion.

Since the Earth's surface is 70% water, it was no surprise that the Progenitor's pod landed into the ocean. Assimilating the creatures of the ocean floor, the symbiote soon noticed the signs of an intelligent lifeform, capable of creating artificial objects. Deducing that these lifeforms are the apex predators of the planet, it began to look for opportunities to assimilate these "humans".

The merge:

Having claimed Cynthia as it's host, the Progenitor now refers to itself as Cynaith (Cy-naith). Going over the host's memories, Cynaith finds human interactions both intriguing and disgusting. Without any psychic link, humans resorted to making noise and movement to convey their thoughts like common animals. How they managed to advance their civilization in such a crude method is beyond Cynaith's understanding. Nonetheless, it seems that among humans there are also predators and prey. To look for a strong predator, a good place to start would be Cynthia's murderer...

Artist's Note:

Really writing a lot here. XD Might write a bit more if there's anymore detail required to understand the story.

Additional notes on Cynaith's design (see Page 6 for the rest): Helmet design (the crab eyes) are inspired by the Kamen Rider series. Her middle finger can be extended out into a spike. The black ridges along her ribs are her gills, with the intake at the shoulder/clavicle. Her swimming fins fold up to the calf when on land.

Left bottom portrait is me trying out emotions on Cynaith's face. Right portrait is how Cynaith would look like if she attempts to fully disguise herself as a human.

Cynaith is not familiar with "social talking", so she prefers not to. Being semi-aquatic, her M.O is to explore the human world by night, and return into the sea by day to rest. Thus, rumors of a sea vixen began to circulate among the Dock workers.

Thank you!

Though parts of it are made up as I go along, I do try to keep the lore consistent.

Is she a bee, a crab or something else? Because I can't understand. Please answer me

Technically, a symbiote which has also assimilated some crab/lobster characteristics.

The butt spike is inspired from a horseshoe crab, not from a bee.

Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions.

Thank you for this Profile it contains a lot of interesting information’s. Those details make everything in prolog perfectly clear.

Β

Cynthia story is sad and it only become worse after symbiote found her.

Β

Detail about alien are very interesting. Do I understand correctly that those six eggs contain symbiotes capable of breeding drones? So does Progenitor lack this capability?

Β

I still find ass spike to be cute. It look so inefficient in stopping touching that it is like barking chihuahua, no matter how hard you try you can't take it seriously. Flippers are great addition. Thanks for explanation that it is finger I thought that it was retractable spike a la Wolverine.

Β

She may only have eyes in transformed form but that enough to be very expressive, you did excellent job here.

Β

I really like human disguise, she look so differently than it is hard to connect her to her original look but at the same time perfectly normal. Glasses are great addition and look exactly like her transformed form eyes.

The eggs will hatch into larvae, which will bond with a host to create a young Queen symbiote (as in Maeve's case).

The Progenitor herself is a drone (a high level one, though) so she can create lesser drones, but not other symbiotes.

I hope that in the future aliens caste system and difference between them will be explained in details.

Honestly I haven't given much thought on their alien society as the story won't progress in that direction.

But it'll likely take a lot from Zergs, Tyranids and bees.

Yeah, the symbiote dyed most of her hair black.

Got to say I love the villain design

Dam its creepy, and also a good backstory which alludes to culture and why they would underestimate humans.

Also would this technically not make them parasites?

Not parasites, Viscous Ectosymbiotic Neuroactive Obligate Mutualists. XD

Creepy as ever.

I think so, this would definitely make them parasites.
