Continuing from:

The "Stump" variant is a corrupted version of the dryad's treant form.
Created when infected dryads attempted to heal themselves by recovering within their host tree. The "virus" instead took over the host tree's persona, creating a walking, undead treant, with the unfortunate dryad now bonded to the corrupted tree. A treant being a dryad's ultimate battle form, the Stump is also a tough brute to tackle, it's "brain" safely protected within the tree's core.

Later variants even started to use the trapped dryads to lure unsuspecting rescuers: sitting still while rescuers attempt to free the dryad, then attacking when they least expect it. The dryad though infected, is kept un-rotten and "clean" by the tree, some even able to call out for help. However, when the Stump finds a more "attractive" lure, it'll spit out the corpse to replace it with the new lure.

P.S.: The tree was supposed to be bigger in my concept thumb-sketch, but was limited by the A4 size.
Also, not really satisfied with the name "Stump", any suggestions?
