that i don't know, i haven't seen anywhere other than in this video i know the official version of this video has the credits go by REALLY fat at the end, and i think he put where he got it in there, but yeah, i don't know where to get that, the only muzzle flash i know of that is an actual effect (not a loadable model) is beamman's

boring and tiring, went to Indiana for training, had to come back to Minnesota to get my license renewed and then go back to Indiana for the training.

Looking up the distance between both states tell me that's quite a drive. That and I'd imagine a good deal of budgeting when it comes to eating on the road. o.o

That's always the best thing--saves money and also prep. I recently watched a video on Big Rig Talk where Jerry cooks up a whole meal of pork chops, Instant Mashed Potatoes, and peas + carrots in his truck. Looks very yummy and also shows itself to be quite cost-effective, but the video hints it took a whole hour for him to cook said meal fresh (vid was only 20 minutes I believe), which means it's not something he can do everyday on the road (he confirms this in the same vid). that's not quite true, if you do short distances, usually in the same state each trip (intrastate) you don't have a lot of time, if you do team over the road (interstate) its unsafe to do true cooking since the truck is moving and could spill oil or whatever, but solo truck drivers over the road by federal law, must NOT drive more than I think 11 hours, but most drive 8-10 hours, because you ALSO can't drive more than 60 hours in 7 days (if th does NOT operate everyday of the week normally, so holidays don't count) or more than 70 in 8 days (if the company DOES operate everyday of the week) so if you drive 10 hours everyday, you wind up being forced to sit around a full 24-48 hours at worst, so solo over the road drivers will always have several hours everyday to do whatever they want with now even factoring in the need to sleep and getting the healthy 9 hours, if we drive 8 hours a day that still leaves more than 12 hours to sleep and do what we want, so again solo drivers COULD do it everyday, the problem is canned food is cheaper so cost would be the only problem since drivers tend to be gone for months at a time.

Ah, so the schedules are more lenient than I initially thought they were. Makes much more sense considering how driving fatigue has been a thing in recent years. o.o
Speaking of food prep in the truck, I will say that's come a long way with stuff like the Burton Stove To Go. Whether we're talking canned grub or fresh, I'd definitely say it's better than the days of using microwaves. o.o

I wouldn't say lenient, yeah, truckers are payed by the mile and they are given the route by the company, but it is still a time sensitive thing, if I can get my load delivered early, I can drive more, and get paid more, plus if you are caught breaking these laws and regulations, you will be put out of service until your in compliance, unless they can prove you did it on purpose, where they will then take your license and push criminal charges, federal I do believe, so felonies.
well the trucks have internet and with a converter you can use standard household appliances in the truck.

That explains why many a video journal posted by truck drivers I've watched tell the tale of going to sleep and getting up at what would be considered odd hours of the day for other peeps. I still remember the one time I had to wake up at 0400 hours just to catch a plane for my holiday--getting up that early is not fun. o.o
The trucks have Internet access now~? If it's what I think it is, it's definitely a welcome development as the only other source of access to the Internets would be Wi-Fi from places like the TA, Flying J, and so on. O.O;

but for turckers, its a daily thing, in fact you usually see more truckers driving at night, because there is almost no one else on the road, in fact when my parents were driving, my step dad would actually read as he was driving, because there was no one on the road. and the turns are very gentle usually.
I don't know exactly what the case is, but yeah they have a laptop you use for you route and other company business, so it may not be useable for recreation, but they do have internet nonetheless, but as a driver, you can't use the internet when your driving anyway, so using it at a trckstop is no real problem, also with certain services, like clear, you can get internet that plugs into a USB drive

Thinking about that and it makes sense as nighttime usually would mean less traffic~? Not so much in urban areas, but I can't imagine rural areas having that much traffic that late. o.o
I guess that's where a personal laptop comes in~? That way none of your personal stuff ends up on the company laptop. OuO
*Actually happens to have Clear ISP*
It's a neat thing for on the go--especially if you have unlimited data as part of the plan (which I don't believe Sprint offers anymore. Yay for grandfathered plans.) OuO

I guess one way I've been able to protect information on my laptop has to do with my paranoia on how I won't allow anyone to use my account on it, and even then I full well know I'm just being over-the-top paranoid. =u=;

sky-commander In reply to ChibiAI-kun [2015-02-08 10:45:44 +0000 UTC]
nothing wrong with being paranoid, I personally fear that somehow, something or someone will cause me to lose all the data and files I have spent years accumulating (everything from music, to movies and tv shows, to porn, to mmd model files and programs, games everything) so I keep as much of it split up between flash drives and external hardrives, at least everything I care about, and no one uses my laptop with out permission, but a broken screen means I can't jusit on and of, or log out without some sort of problem makes that hard to actually enforce, but no one goes in my room long enough to do anything with it (I live In the basement and so the freezer chest, furnace and water softener live with me)

That reminds me, I need to start backing up my MMD stuff on something else--be it an external hard drive or some sort of cloud. That way, I'll be able to continue my MMD stuffs the day I have to transition from one computer to another without any problems. o.o
On that note, I remember when I transitioned to my current desktop from my old laptop. Having said laptop for five years made me miss it very much, if that sound silly enough. I'll probably be like that with my current rig as well, knowing how close to computers I've grown over the years. TuT;

well my current laptop is less powerful than my last one, but they didn't make parts for it, so I had to "upgrade", also I find that large flash drives work best, at least 32 gb

My old laptop only had 10GB of storage space, so for the majority of its life, I never operated it without my WD 320GB External Hard Drive. Most, if not all of my stuff from said laptop (which has long since gone to the computer lab beyond the skies) is on said drive. OuO

DAMN!!!! even my oldest laptop had like 350 Gb I just use external storage, because despite having anywhere from 320 Gb to 500 Gb hardrives in my laptops I STILL run out of space XD honestly the biggest folders I have are my music, mmd models, movies and anime, and porn folders. my music folder is like 21.3 gb last I checked, porn was like 23 gb last time I checked, at it \s largest my movies and anime folder was like 90 gb, mmd models has to be close to 30 gb by now, including all the parts I use in pmd editor, other than that everything is kind of spread out, I have all 3 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games installed and those take up about 15 gb altogether, between every picture I have on my laptop I have about 7000 pics AT LEAST, but its still only like 10 gb.... XD

That reminds me, I need to organize my MMD Main Folder as there's lots of stuff I've either used once or twice (if at all), and then there's the models I use all the time (Originals, certain weapons, and a small subset of stages). Then there are the files for various games (and mods for such, if applicable) that take up more space. Safe to say I have a bit of hard drive housecleaning in order for the future. =u=;
