Krystal introduces her mount to Fox, who's just a tad taken aback. Apparently he has a phobia of 40-foot, 7-ton dinosaurs with jaws that can crush a car. Who knew? :-pKrystal model made by CharleyFox and rigged for Poser by Little_Dragon.

In normal gameplay, Fox had to make do without his trusty blaster - maybe this is the start of some secret 'hardcore' mode?

I still liked my idea of a story where Fox really is left stripped of tech naked on his first visit to Dinosaur Planet with Krystal having to show him the ropes.

They're naked as I can't help but see Krystal as a free spirit for whom clothes are entirely optional, and I'm an evil little stinker who wanted to make McCloud as uncomfortable as possible.

Interesting, very good. I don't know anything about 3D digital art, but this is very good. Kinda odd that they're both naked but whatev =/ I'm sure whatever program you're using it'd be kind of hard to make clothes XD It's still very good. Yeah, I would be pretty damn surprised if I were Fox XD
StarFox Adventures was a good game but I agree that it could've been better (reading the comments above). Then again if it weren't for SFA then Krystal wouldn't be a StarFox charater, so it all works out eh?

Yes, Adventures was flawed, but it's still more enjoyable than Assault or Command. I swear, Nintendo are trying to do to StarFox what Sonic Team have done to the Blue Blur...

The source? Well, the model is the Krystal one (very malleable lady, she is) and the texture is one I cooked up myself, now I'm finally getting the hang of Photoshop. I'm still debating whether I want to make the latter widely available, though. Watch this space...

I know of a couple of people who've made their own textures, and one who made clothes for him as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they've been shared about a bit.

HEHEHEH! It nice to see some male models to go with the tons of female ones once a while! Fox must feel unsure, humiliated, and self conscious going around in the fur. Krystal is a natural born jungle girl and sees nothing special about it (sorry still have a problem of Krystal not being a native of dinosaur planet), but Fox is from a culture that doesn't believe in going around in the fur! And this little 'surprise' (from Krystal's point of view), just throws him off balance even more.
While the reason of Fox not having his blaster Grade-A stupid, if they were gonna go that angle, then they should have had fox stuck without ANY tech support and have to learn to rough it!

I can't see him being entirely comfortable with it, true, and then to have a maw like that looming over him, well...
I can see why you'd have a problem with Krystal's origin - it's not exactly well-described in the game, and exactly how she's so at home on DP is never explained. Not sure I see her as a jungle girl, but I certainly see her as coming from a culture that has no hang-ups about nudity; a sensible outlook, in my opinion.
And agreed - they really could have done better in finding a way to strip Fox of his gun. Having zero tech support is a brilliant idea, though there is the question of why that would be. Crash-landed, maybe?
In Rare's defence, they were having to heavily rework a game they'd already almost completed, and in what became a pretty tight timeframe, when they were sold to Microsoft. That they managed to cobble together a game as enjoyable as SFA is, is actually pretty impressive.
Still, always fun to muse over what might have been...

Personally. I've always detested how they changed Dinosaur Planet into a StarFox game and had to make the princess and Krystal into the same person. There was a certain charm about the original setting the game was going to have.

My only REAL regret is that we weren't given a more in-depth look at what the plot was GOING to be.
Here's something else to consider. Fox wouldn't have his universal translator with him, or perhaps he does but it would still need time for adjust to the language. (Though for a story it might be more fun if Fox had to endure learning the language.)
In other words, Fox here would have no idea if Krystal is saying 'Hi nice to meet you.' or '
