Description
.Glow from the sparks you captured:
Hundreds floating, glimmering
winged against the breath of wind
and time.
Cast light where faith echoes in shadows
(You are there,
encased in a sphere,
encased by my soul)
And I can't reach you.

Very nice work. For such a short poem you touch on quite a few things. I particularly love the beautiful, yet sad ending. Truely heartfelt poem, and it shows.

this poem gorgeous through it's simplicity and lovely choice of words. everything falls together. normally short poems don't do it for me. this certainly did. it shines with beauty.

I really like this. I am sorry if I repeat someone else.. there were just so many comments, and I am afraid I didn't read them all.. This has a wonderful, etherial (sp?) feel to it.. so simple, yet so profound. Thank you for sharing it.

First verse really got my imagination going, started thinking of stars and a bright universe. Thought-provoking poem with a well thought-out vocabulary. A real joy to read

Crazy
I dig the whole abstractness thing- I've wanted to try summick similar for ages but I could never throw anything together in m'head- ne'er mind to a page..
'sgot a whole dreamlike thing goin' on- kinda crazy stuff that flies through yer head when all the lights are off and yer listenin' to like Enya or summick almost ΓΌberloudly.. then that could be just me.. *shrugs* I like it :j

the beauty of poetry is in the minimalism. you do it well here. a good example is the paranthesis - a mere two keystrokes, to demonstrate the encapsulation of your lover/yourself (?) that you refer to. i likes it.

I haven't read very much of your work, but what I have read impresses with the images it evokes. However, what impresses me the most is the original phrasing and a refreshing sense of pace.
I guess what I am saying is a like this and what work of yours I have seen.

Your talent is something that I will always enjoy watching... to know you is a blessing...to be your friend is a true gift...and to see you happy...makes dreams come true.
Much love to the Roux!

i missed this feeling oh so much. how are you able to capture so much that is hidden from me. everything is like a whisper and it leaves me trying not to breath so that my breath won't drown out your words. ahh this is lovely. thank you.

I like this, it feels like a dream. This is well done, and I like the fact that its short but not so short that it can't invoke images. I really aught to check your stuff out more often. Nice Work.

Seems like temporal displacement has gotten the best of you.
I find myself constantly searching for something that appears to be just out of my reach, yet is much closer than I think. Beautiful poem as always Ruth [rock].

My gosh, Ruth, it's so good to see a poem by you again. And how beautiful this is, in spite of it's longing it is breathtaking. Your words are always so expertly chosen, that it's easy to allow the hundreds of glimmering sparks winged against the flow of wind to simply surround me like magic as I read. What a beautiful thought, a beautiful poem. (keep reaching)

Just as it is as good for you to write again, it feels good for me to see you write again. So you should write more! This is an interesting start, so write more! This poem is like a spark among hundreds of sparks, but yet it stands out on its own for its stunning simplicity and gracefulness.
