'Nother large one. Hit the download button for a crisp/clear image if you need to!Christmas gift for ~dragontrap of her Amuse! I picked the dragon version, since obviously she has scales. And I like scales.
You've had so many hardships fall into your lap this year and previous, I sincerely hope things start to look up for you in the next year. You keep on truckin' though, and you have friends who are rootin' for the best. Hope all is well, and hope you have a happy holiday.

I'll be posting one piece of gift art each day for the next few days up to the 1st of January, aka NEW YEAR (Or at least try to)! I still have a few to finish up, so posting times may be irregular. It feels good to properly ink again!
Thanks to all of my lovelies who hung out with me in my stream for couple nights while I slaved away on this. For some reason this was the LONGEST one out of the batch. I have no idea why. It was fun, guys. <3

I turn into a robot when it comes to scaling, and coloring scales, they seem to become part of some sort of assembly line. Or maybe that's the crazy talking. I'll let you decide!

I wonder why so many people are doing the non-elastic wings nowadays, though, they look kinda... like plastic-bags.

Thanks Tero! The chest looks like a piece of glass to me, probably the dark bands intermixing with the lighter colors coupled with those highlights on top. >>a

The chest looks glassy indeed. Not sure whether you think that's a good or a bad thing but I kinda like it, it's like the pieces of glass you find around after a fire, that are all dark and feel slightly rougher than usual.
Only in small spots where they seem to have very thick folds that are also strongly highlighted(mainly the elbow-area). They kind of make it seem like the wing-membrane wasn't as elastic at some points.
