I was so impressed by the redesigned MOC characters poster I saw yesterday by that I decided to modify my star superion image (in the interests of saving time) and made a STNG inspired character data file based on the fabulous redesign workhere:

basically had a different take on how our characters would be in an alternate universe.. in honor of that universe, I'm gonna send these MOC cards to each of the members who participated in the challenge, one blank and one with their redesigned character in my art style..
I was thinking, that we could get together and have a "SECTOR -Z" cross over from time to time..
Sector-z Is the name I have dubbed this universe in honor of the fantastic work done by
any input from the rest of you guys as to the design would help, since the MOC comic was a group effort..
Now Just suggest some things here, and after MY MOC pages are posted I'll email the finished cards to you in High rez..

I know! I'd love to see what he could do with Bluejaye! But when I asked him if he was gonna do the same for the members of the MOCC Secret Mission, he said he wasn't...maybe he'll change his mind later...lol..

I really like this design for Star Superion. I noticed the addition of Star Superion "his cells act as energy batteries" thing explaining why I saw that blue and white design earlier 
I tried looking for a reference incase you didn't know what I was talking about there but all I could find was this:

but it's not a great example because the mask covered all his face and when you watch the movie it looks like it came from nowhere.

yeah i remember that..Matt Leblanc was not too bad int hat movie, too bad it didn't do too well.. it was a good start..loved that space ship.. and all the twists.
Anyhow, so your saying make this the regular star superion and have his suit act as a containment system..I like the idea, however, I think I'm more partial to the original.. as a mainstay, and maybe save this design for later.. see the idea had behind this design was that Star Superion was a galactic super hero rather then an earth hero.. that is he fights crime out in space, so he needs the mask and helmet.. I like that idea.. and the look of the design does go well with that. but as far as the helmet coming out of no where..it does work well in a live action movie, like Lost in Space, or Stargate, but in comics and just drawn art.. it takes away from the magic of having the character, after a long and arduous battle, taking the helmet off and holding it in his arms, as a use to convey emotion..
under one arm, as a tired warrior look
held in his hands in front like a sad look, for a fallen friend..
or held high in a victory pose..
I suppose what I'm thinking is that as a prop for use in the art form of comics to tell a story or convey emotion, the helmet becomes more of an important tool, then just an addition to his costume.. does that make sense??

That does make sense yeah. In saying that, there isn't exactly anything stopping you from applying all three ideas together. Having the mask coming out of nowhere would be hard to convey in a comic but it doesn't neccessarily mean it can't happen and furthermore doesn't mean it cannot be removed the way you mentioned as a well to convey said poses. When you said "held in his hands in front like a sad look, for a fallen friend.." I instantly remembered an episode of Spider-Man (the MTV version) when Electro turned up. Spider-Man defeated him by having him abosrbed into a battery but believed this killed him (it didn't. The anguish on his face after pulling off his mask was fantastic and hit the spot despite it being an animation. Anyway, yeah, that didn't have much to do that but still
So yeah, containment suit, intergalactic superhero, able to remove whenever he wants.

I suppose your right.. we will have to see.. if I do that version of Star Superion in that alternate universe costume..in a comic.. that might be something that would look cool showcased in a panel..

It might be worthwhile examing Iron Man comics then since looking at his movie his masks operates somewhat similarly...

Hell yeah! I was inspired too! Kinda mad I didn't think of it! As for the card I think replace fighting agility with fighting skill and add power skill as a category. Gilead has massive energy output with very poor skill level as opposed to basically everyone else who has great control over their energy projection abilities. It will help to see some variations in where people place their OC's skill level.

dude, i hope you guys like my MOC pages, however, I'm sorta limited as to how many pages I can do, and I promised Rod I'd do something around 4 which is the minimum, to 6 which would be the max.. so I can get some of your guys in there doing some stuff, but overall, It's not gonna be what I really wanted.. and story wise, i had allot of cool ideas and twists that won't be happening either.. so.. oh well..
