Edward Elric! This was my newest cosplay that I premiered during Otakon and probably the one that I focused on the most. It certainly was the one I had the most fun in that's for sure too!

I sometimes think this cosplay had a long time coming. Fullmetal Alchemist was the first anime/manga series that I got into and I absolutely fell in love with it. However, I didn't think I could go as Ed when I first started cosplaying because I thought I was too tall. Fast forward 3 years and I'm talking with my step-dad, Jeff and telling him why I haven't gone as Ed with him totally supportive of doing so. Later, I was watching FMA: Brotherhood and I said outloud 'Huh, he grew' and Jeff looks at me like 'oh really!' And thus Ed got on my 'to cosplay as list', lol, not that I mind. I really have grown to love cosplaying as Ed. ^_^

The whole outfit was made by me, including the automail, which I made specific to my body. The whole automail arm moves with my own limb and fingers. I also made the spear with the assistance of my step-dad Jeff, who basically made it as strong as steel and practically unbreakable haha, while I did most of the detail and design aspects of it. (Oh the fun I had with this thing) I styled and cut the wig on my own (granted it fell a little flat in the heat of Otakon >.< But I swear it looks better when the heat isn't killing it). I did my own make up for this shoot as well, which surprisingly held up well in the heat.

During Otakon we had a whole FMA group running around with a Winry, Sig, Sloth, Envy, Greed, Riza, and Alphonse. It so much fun and we got a lot of photos over the course of the day as well. So I'll be posting more soon, but for now, I hope you like it!
