I can't believe it's been over a year since I shot this. It's been so long! I really like this costume. It is one of my favorites to wear in terms of comfort. In addition, it was a great learning experience for me because I learned a lot about various Kimono styles as I dissected and analyzed the construction of Shizuka Hio's Kimono. As a bonus, after seeing the Vampire Knight musical live in Tokyo, I was also quite pleased to find that my adaptation was actually pretty similar to the costume used in the Musical (score!). I hope to wear Shizuka more in the future, as I love her character, backstory, and demeanor. She provides a chance to be a bit more distant in comparison to my other cosplays, which I find to be a good challenge.
