Yeah!!! Shizuka! I've been meaning to do a shoot for her for agesssssssss. XD I was so happy with the results of this shoot. This was the first shoot I did on the Saturday of Katsucon 2013 and I was lucky enough to do it with the lovely shippycosplay--plz as Maria Kurenai! I’m still processing photos from a ton of shoots, so I’ll be getting more of us up here soon, but here’s a teaser shot of Shizuka!The whole outfit was made by me from scratch, her Kimono, Obi, Hair Ties and all. I did a lot of research on various traditional kimonos and based off of that and Shizuka’s Kimono design, tried to make this outfit as authentic as I could. I also did my own make up and styled the wig (hair's a little messy here, but not too bad). I always loved Shizuka's character, so I really wanted to try my best to bring her to life in this one with a very subtle, but sharp and quiet look to her. Anyway, I hope you like it!

Yes! I can; I actually kind of come from a line of seamstresses. I'm the fourth generation in my family.

It's a learning process, that's for sure. I still had to learn a lot on my own since each woman in my family had different specialties. Mine happens to be costumes.
