Description Here is the extended version of I Like This Character Meme

Because They're Interesting: Zam Wesell and Mara Jade from Star Wars

Zam Wesell is one of the most underrated characters from Star Wars and underrated overall. Sure, she had some moments in games and comics, but in movie, she was killed off as soon as she was introduced. I really think that there is more to Zam Wesell than meets the eye, which is why I decided to make her a part of my stories, though I still wish she had more time on big screen.

Mara Jade is also underrated as well. However, unlike Zam, she never got a moment in movie, which was truly insulting.

Because They're Cool: Loli, Mia and Kali from Pop Secret

I feel insulted and disrespected that the cartoon Pop Secret, which is made by the same company that made Dragon Hunters, Futurikon is criminally underknown (only I know about it, and others from DeviantArt community do not). I like all three, Loli, Mia and Kali that I can't decide which of those three is more cool. Loli likes singing, just like I do, and her moto is "When you smile, you can get whatever you wish" which is something like "The best thing that grows when shared is joy", which my no.1 idol Margita Stefanovic Magi used to say. Mia is also like me, sensitive on injustice and believes that life can be harsh at a times. As for Kali, she is very smart and has no secret she would hide from Loli and Mia. Well I kinda try to be like her, but I'm not very good at it. Nevertheless, all three of them are my favorites, and I kinda wish to meet others with them and with cartoon in which they are main characters.

Because Their Character Makes Sense: Mira Clay from Bakugan

I've seen Bakugan, and I think that is the best anime of all time. Most of the characters are likable, and Mira Clay is my favorite of them all. Her name means "Rebelliousness" in Hebrew, which makes sense, since Mira Clay in the cartoon has a rebellious personality.

Because They Have Flaws: Flannery from Pokemon, Lief from Deltora Quest, Percedal from Wakfu, 2007's version of Raphael from TMNT

Sure, Flannery is not the most experienced Pokemon trainer of her type, but that's not something anyone should dislike her for. What she lacks in practice, she makes up with charisma and ambition, so I give her a complete credit for that.

Lief might not be necessarily particularly obedient and might be a hot-head. But despite all that, he is compassionate, kind and good-natured.

Percedal is a good example of why one should look before one leaps. He often acts the fool, and over dramatic, as he tends to act what he thinks is the ideal heroic adventurer or knight in shining armor, but often makes himself look stupid. But even so, Percedal has a very strong sense of honor and cannot stand by in the face of injustice and tyranny, and is always willing to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

2007's version of Raphael shows how much conflicted Raphael is between his increasingly frustrated and violent personality and his love for his family. Even though he does hold a grudge against Leonardo for leaving his family, he with his brothers (Donatello and Michelangelo, father/sensei (Splinter) and human allies (April and Casey)) still goes to rescue him from the captivity by Stone Generals.

Because of Their Actions: Phoebus from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Even though Phoebus used to work for the Judge Claude Frollo, he chose to be more honorable person when he gave money to Esmeralda when she was dancing across the street, and when he saved Miller's family from the fire. My only problem about him is how his character got severely butchered in the sequel.

Because of Their Beliefs: Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender

While most of young boy heroes in cartoons are rowdy, obnoxious and annoying, Aang shows himself peaceful and playful. As he grew believing that all life is sacred, as Air Nomads believed. That allowed him to make lots of selfless acts such as giving Zuko a chance for redemption and defeating Ozai without killing him.

Because Of Subtext: Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender

And who doesn't like Uncle Iroh, he is like the combo of Master Splinter from TMNT and Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda. He is a total sweetheart who loves tea, and who will welcome anyone with open arms and with a cup of tea. But what amazes me most is that he never gave up on his nephew, Zuko. Even when Zuko threw him out of his life, he wasn't angry at him, he was worried that he will lose him. That is what I call, the well-written character, Uncle Iroh did an incredible job of being Zuko's father, even better than that scum Ozai did.

Because They're Smart: Sam from Totally Spies

Sam is a smart woman who can solve anything, even on her own. She is also loyal to her friends, Alex and Clover, who highly respect her. What's not to like about her?

Because They're Misunderstood: Megamind from Megamind

The story about Megamind is very tragic. All he ever wanted was to win everyone's approval and to be accepted by everyone, yet, no one liked him just because he looked differently. Megamind never actually held a grudge against anyone (expect Metro Man, but maybe the jealousy caused that). Megamind became villain because he was unhappy of being unloved, and because he believed that it was his destiny, so he tried to embrace it, even though he was still secretly unhappy. Megamind is a perfect example of misunderstood character, even better than that prick called Illidan Stormrage will ever be.

Because They're an Archetype: Lina from Bratz: Fashion Pixiez, Mandrake from Epic, Slango from Crusaders of Space 2 and Cassandra from Bookworm Adventures Deluxe

Fairies are in most of the media meant to be good and protecting, but with Lina, that is not the case. In Bratz: Fashion Pixiez, Lina is a leader of an evil cult of Fairies, who want to conquer the world and seduce its inhabitants, that is not something you see nowadays.

Most of the villainous parents are very abusive toward their children. However, Mandrake is very caring and compassionate toward his son Dagda, but he becomes more consumed of revenge over his son's death.

Many villains destroy their own minions as punishment for incompetence. Sometimes (in rare cases), the minion will usually take over the master villain's place following the latter's death. Slango (though he is a redeemed villain turned hero in my stories, he is in canon media (Crusaders of Space 2) a villain) however, defies all of that, because in the middle of the story, it is revealed that his minions are actually his enemies, and that the Nathaniel Chaser (main protagonist of Crusaders of Space 2) was just destroying them for him. It's a very rare thing for villain to have his own minions for enemies.

A lot of damsels in distress are useless and often helplessly waiting moment for their hero to rescue them. But with Cassandra is different. Because for a damsel in distress, Cassandra is actually very helpful (at least early on), as she gives Lex (aka You play as Lex) tips about how to play game Bookworm Adventures Deluxe. That's another rare sight, and I love rare things.

Because They are Amiable: Noel from Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch and Celia Mae from Monsters Inc.

What's not to love about Noel, she is kind, smart, valorous, and also cute and comical at times. Noel is an excellent example of nice character.

Celia is, unlike most of gorgon-related creatures that are cold-hearted, a total sweetheart. While she may have an explosive temper when angered, she can calm down almost immediately when she is told the truth. It also helps that she is voiced by Jennifer Tilly, who is my most favorite actress and who has such a nymph-like voice

Because They Subvert a Despised Cliche: Zorro from Zorro franchise

Many overpowered characters are referred as selfish Mary-Sues. However, Zorro, though being slightly overpowered, still puts others safety, and freedom above everything else.

Because of Their Dedication: Goku from Dragon Ball franchise and Naruto from Naruto franchise

Goku at first seemed like a guy who is in search for worthy opponents to fight. However, as time flew, he eventually dedicated himself to protect whoever he can from forces of evil.

What happens when you combine hardship and perseverance? You get a guy like Naruto. True, Naruto is maybe annoying and obnoxious, but at least, he is not heartless, nor treacherous like Sasuke Uchiha. He goes through lot of hard times to become what he always dreamed: Hokage.

Because I can Relate: Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender and Quasimodo from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Oh my, where should I begin, Zuko had a pretty screwed life, his father is a very abusive and maniacal scumbag who scarred him right in the eye, his sister is a sadistic and a lying fiend. The only one who actually cared about him was his mother who vanished, and his uncle. If you can't relate about him, that toward who you can?

Another unfortunate victim I can relate to is Quasimodo. I can feel totally sorry about him, since he suffered lots of abusement from his so-called foster father: Judge Claude Frollo (who I despise with passion), who unwillingly adopted him and isolated him from society, didn't helped him when he needed him most (when the crowds on Feast of Fools mocked him and threw rotten vegetable at him) and tried to burn Esmeralda, the only one who actually showed love toward Quasimodo (and burning someone alive is a horrible crime to do), because he claimed that gypsies are evil, and that she is a witch, which is a pure lie and nonsense. Quasimodo is definitely a character worth relating to.

Because They Have Redeemable Qualities: Coco from Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, Ruby Trollman from Trollz, Shrek from Shrek franchise and Manny from Ice Age franchise

Although Coco can be little cocky and rough, she is actually very clever, quick-thinking and a well-rounded friend. She is definitely someone who you can rely on.

Ruby Trollman can be a brat sometimes, but she's always there for her friends and she's always got their backs - no matter what! She's the girl you want on your side.

I know that Shrek can be a jerk initially upon the start of the movies, and do some selfish misdeeds. However, Shrek does feel remorse and regret for his misdeeds, and will selflessly try to correct his mistakes, which he always succeeds.

As for Manny, I only dislike his over-protective and dramatic side. Like Shrek, Manny can be a jerk sometimes (mostly toward Sid). But despite all that, he is loyal to his friends and family and he cares for them with all of his heart.

Because They Make Me Laugh: Entire Cast of Hotel Transylvania (Dracula, Mavis, Wayne, Wanda, Frankenstein, Eunice, Griffin, Murray, Blobby, Johnny, Dennis, Winnie)

All of the cast from Hotel Transylvania is very likable, and they always guarantee me a laugh or a moment of joy whenever I feel depressed, sulky or pissed.

Because They're Polite: Daria from Princess and the Pea and Steeljaw Jack from Eon Kid

Never before have I seen someone so polite, sweet and serene character like Daria from Princess and the Pea. Her character features are very sweet and likable.

Steeljaw Jack, while deadly and hostile, has a somewhat polite attitude, which is quite rare sight. Oh, and I kinda like his laughter's.

Because They're Honest: Esmeralda from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Master Splinter from TMNT 1990 movie and Superman from Live-action movies

Esmeralda is not afraid to say what she thinks its right and what she thinks how things it should be. Hell, she was the only one to actually stand up to Frollo's dictatorship, even when she was on the verge of death, she refused to surrender herself to him. And because of that, it's no wonder Esmeralda is one of my favorite characters from Disney franchise.

1990 version of Splinter from TMNT is best. Splinter is here very wise and very loving, just like Uncle Iroh. He's like a family relative that would always comfort you whenever fate is cruel toward you. And his line "All fathers care for their sons" is very deep.

My most favorite version of Superman is the one from live-action movies during the start of 80s. There not only he is incredibly strong, but its also very honest, dignified and has a good sense of depth to himself, as he truly fights for truth and justice.

Because They Put Other First: Yusei Fudo from Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's!

If there is one character who puts other first over himself which I like most, its Yusei Fudo. He has a very noble and heroic personality. Another trait that can be noted about Yusei is that he also helped Akiza change herself to better ways. No wonder he is one of my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! characters.

Because They're Attractive: Monique LaRoche from Around the World in 80 Days

Not only Monique LaRoche is an attractive character from the movie Around the World in 80 Days, but she has also took a level in being a badass, when she one-hit KOed General Fang. Granted, the Chinese villainess was already exhausted, but even Lau Xing addressed Monique as "the eleventh tiger" because of that.

Because They're Responsible: Gandalf the White from Lord of the Rings

While Gandalf can be a little rough and bossy, he is very kind, wise and responsible wizard and a leader who worries that he might sent his comrades to their deaths. His deep wisdom clearly derives from the patience he learns, just as his care for all creatures of good will comes from his strong sense of pity for the weak. Both his patience and sense of pity are revealed again and again, extending even to the servants of his enemies.

Because They're Leaders: Yoh Asakura from Shaman King

What makes Yoh a good leader is that he can always handle situations that always get out of hand and kick ass. He is truly a pure good guy who always tries to see goodness within everyone, not to mention that he is also carefree and optimistic.

Because They're Crazy in a Good Way: Olaf from Frozen and SpongeBob SquarePants from SpongeBob SquarePants franchise

One of the most strangest things I have ever seen is that a snowman like Olaf will have a dream of experiencing Summer. I will be honest, that is a bit silly and illogical because it is clear that ice things melt in the proximity of warm things. However, that does not stop me from liking this goofy, but friendly snowman.

Whether fun-loving or annoying, SpongeBob can be quite silly in a hilarious way. He can make you either really entertained, or very pissed.

Because They're a Good Companions: Stitch from Lilo & Stitch

It is good to see that Lilo has someone like Stitch, who initially started as an experiment from massive destruction, but eventually becomes a loyal, faithful and reliable companion of Lilo

Because They're Good Relatives: Herb Copperbottom from Blue Sky's Robots and Sharn from Deltora Quest

Herb Copperbottom is my number 1 most favorite fictional father, because he is very kind, helpful and encouraging toward his son Rodney, even when Rodney feels like he let him down, Herb never loses faith, nor is disappointed in him, which makes him excellent relative.

Another good relative worthy of being mentioned is Lief's mother, Sharn, who never loses hope of her son (Lief)'s return and liberation of her homeland (Deltora). Plus, she has also contributed to Lief's adventure by giving Lief a cloak that would help him in hiding from enemy eyes, which saved Lief's life many times. Sharn is another perfect example of a very good relative.

Because They Feel Human: Astro/Tobi from Astro Boy and Nie Fung aka Wind from Wind & Cloud: Conquer the World

Despite being a robot, Astro/Tobi feels more human than as an actual machine. And in spite of the many hardships he may face, he will always be prepared to save humanity from certain doom.

Another character who also feels human is Nie Fung aka Wind, since he is more friendly and empathetic towards others, particularly, Duen Long aka Breaking Wave (who sadly, eventually betrays Wind) when he lost the contest in becoming Lord Conqueror's student (or Hung-Ba) and was reduced to a mere servant to Lord Conqueror. It can be also noted that Wind does regret his misdeeds after he reverts from his "Berserk Blood" mode, which increases his powers drastically when he is angered, but the side effect is that he can also enter a state of uncontrollable rage and become a monstrous beast in human form.

Because They Learn From Mistakes: Po from Kung Fu Panda

I will confess, Po was initially a dim-witted and a clumsy panda unworthy of being a Kung Fu master. But as the time flew, he eventually became one of the most awesome Kung Fu masters. True, he still makes some mistakes, but he always learns on them, and also learns valuable lessons that help him in his life.

Because I Strongly Pity Them: Gaara from Naruto franchise

Here it is another unfortunate victim who suffered many misfortunes in its life. He was shunned by his own nation, forced to live isolated and scorned. Is it any wonder Gaara was a Jinchuriki who turned into a remorseless murderer. But after Naruto defeats him, he realized that Naruto, who was also a Jinchuriki was saved from his loneliness by his friends and accepted him for who he was.

Because They're Creative: Miss Frizzle from Magic School Bus

What makes Miss Frizzle creative and unique is that unlike most of the teachers, who hold their classes in the classrooms, she makes her classes look like a field trips, with the help of her Magic School Bus, which is capable of transforming into anything. If only school classes are like that, than they wouldn't be so boring in the real life.

Because They're Rebellious: Toph Beifong from Avatar: The Last Airbender

What is more rebellious, than the girl who has over-protective parents and is eager to prove that she is as strong as anyone who could see. Toph's eagerness and determination to prove that she can be independent can also lead to some initial difficulties. However, despite her many quirks, Toph shows that she is a quick learner, and her courage and loyalty to her new friends seem very stable.

Because They Have Great Potential: Commander Kala from Voltron Force

Do you know what is one of my most pissing-off moments. The ones where we are introduce to some interesting characters, only to see their potential wasted. Well in the Voltron Force, this happened to Commander Kala, who was turned into a robeast almost immediately upon introduction. states that she had a great character concept and could have been given more screen time and development in her humanoid form, and I agree with her.

Because of Their Role in the Group: Launchpad McQuack from Ducktales and Intress from Chaotic

While Launchpad can be a little bit clumsy, and simple-minded, he is always loyal to his friends, and in return, they can always count on him.

Intress is also a good ally on who others can count on, as she is caring toward them and can make good friends with those who she saves and look out for them in case they get themselves in danger.

Because They Appeal to a Demographic: Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender

Whether Katara does have attitude to look gorgeous and badass, or not. She is still a skilled fighter that can whoop her enemies around like a cyclone and take them out before they can even react.

Because They are A Satire/Spoof: Bugs Bunny from Looney Tunes

The very iconic character of Looney Tunes, Bugs Bunny also makes his way on this meme. He's a very funny, smart, and fun-loving rabbit that can always guarantee a good time full of joy and comedy.

Because They're Charming: Diane Ardant from Dofus: The Treasures of Kerubim

Not only Diane Ardant's physical appearance is charming, but her motto is full of truth:  "End of one adventure is always the beginning of another". Which is very true. When one adventure ends, another one begins, sooner or later.

Because Of Their Hatedom: Cream the Rabbit from Sonic the Hedgehog and Tea Gardner from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters!

Oh my, what did those two ever did to deserve such hate they get? Cream and Tea are being hated because they are pointless and annoying. I don't know why? They are both very good characters and also extremely good friends worth having for. People should be crediting them instead of criticizing them.

Because They're Underrated: Anne-Marie from All Dogs Go To Heaven and Scarlet Overkill from Minions

I think that Anne-Marie is one of the most underrated characters ever, there are simply too little who like this little girl, who can talk to animals, and who wants a good home for herself. And don't even get me started about how her voice actress, Judith Barsi died, it's simply to heart-breaking for a lot of people.

Another underrated character is Scarlet Overkill. She might be a well-known supervillain for the characters of the movie Minions, but in reality, only few know about her, which is kinda unfair if you ask me. It also helps that Sandra Bullock gives a lot of charm into Scarlet's character.

Because They Have Nostalgic Value: Orange Blossom from Strawberry Shortcake

I remember watching Strawberry Shortcake during my childhood (I still do, but rarely) and my most favorite character of them all was (and still is) Orange Blossom. And my most favorite version of Orange was the one from Berry Bitty Adventures. Those were the days, those were the times.

Because Gold Comes Out of Their Mouth: Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda

Oogway is a very strong and very wise turtle who successfully trained many Kung-Fu Masters. He is, just like Splinter, a person who can always comfort you whenever you feel broken or insecure. And Oogway's death is one of the most saddest deaths ever, which is a shame, because, I think he could have more time on the big screen in the movies.

Because They Changed For The Better: Akiza Izinski from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, Sunburst from Barbie and  the Magic of the Rainbow, Karen from Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch and Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z

I used to think that these four were unlikable assholes, but eventually, when I watched the cartoons in which they are present, I saw how they learned from their mistakes and how they changed themselves for better.

For Akiza, I thought that she was an unlikable witch, who takes glee in harming others, but when I saw her backstory about discovering her psychic powers during her childhood an not being able to control them, and how she was feared and uncared by everyone, my hate toward her got shrunk, and when Yusei helped her to reunite with her family, she changed for better, and I started loving her.

As for Sunburst, I thought that she was an very arrogant, cocky and unlikable asshole, due to her being jealous of Elina. But, when Laverne imprisoned her underwater, and took her looks as disguise, Elina did everything to find and rescue her, and when Elina saved Sunburst, she helped her to fight off Laverne, along wit the rest of Elina's fairy wingmen friends (no pun intended). And when Laverne was forever gone, Sunburst changed to a better fairy, and therefore, I can totally see her turning a new page.

About Karen, at first, I thought that she is a cold, hostile and unlikable jerk. But that was due to Noel being imprisoned by Gaito and his Water Demons. Eventually, in the second season, Karen changed to a much better person and she proved to be very loyal toward her friends, and became kinder and more open toward them, so I credit her for that.

And finally, Piccolo, he was firstly an unlikable pure evil kind of villain. But, when he ended in position of being a guardian and a fatherly figure to Son Gohan. He went on to doing amazing acts of good, and his moment of re-absorbing the essence of Kami into himself and finding a new place as his own being felt very earned made him one of my favorite characters in the anime.

Because They Influenced Me: Badger from Cosgrove Hall's The Wind in the Willows

Badger is one of the many character who left a great influence on me, due to his wisdom and a strong sense of justice. Nowadays, I have started to be a bit like him, compassionate, wise, and full of any advices that others may ask for. Though I don't hate society like Badger does, I prefer to be alone most of the time

Because I CAN: Dark Masters from Digimon Adventures

Dark Masters are one of the most memorable Digimon villains. These guys are awesome and freaking powerful, sure they are evil and full of unlikable traits. But, that's why many like them, They consist of MetalSeadramon, a metallic sea serpent capable of firing laser from its snout, Puppetmon, a mallet wielding/psychotic puppet man-child take on Pinocchio, Machinedramon, a cannon bearing dinosaur/dragon/robot with a no-nonsense attitude and Piedmon, a sadistic piedmont clown with various tricks, they are definitely a very unique group of villains.

I like a lot of these, too, especially Quasimodo, Stitch, Megamind, Cecelia, Shrek, Manny, Olaf, SpongeBob, Po, Hotel Transylvania cast, Esmeralda, and Phoebus. Stitch looks a lot like Fidget from The Great Mouse Detective.

I agree on Oogway, Po, Bugs Bunny, Anne-Marie, and Cream. I didn't care for Scarlett Overkill since I'm generally a villain hater, except for the henchmen and the main villains that have redeemable qualities like Callaghan from Big Hero 6, Mor'du from Brave, Maleficent from Maleficent, and most of the henchmen.

I understand that you are a villain hater and I don't blame you for that at all. After all, villains are meant to be hated. Anyway, what to you think about other characters from this meme that you haven't seen before?

Interesting. I don't know if you've seen Hazbin Hotel, but there's a villain, who I happen to like and his name is Sir Pentious. I like him because he's funny and cute.

Well, you can pick more than one. To me, it's better to pick multiple as many characters as you can and you like. About your version of this meme. I don't really have no. 1 but from it, I like Harry Potter, Genie, Wonder Woman (though I'm not really into her media), Johnny, Hulk, Joe, Leonardo, Hercules, Jaden, Mufasa, and Woody.

Some I don't know, some I don't feel strongly enough about, some I don't necessarily agree with the category they're in.

It's ok, you just say what you think. I can't expect anyone to agree with me

I like all the Avatar characters you chose and a large handful of the animated ones. Only one I really dislike is Cream

Well, I'm sorry you don't like Cream . But that's just your opinion. I can't expect more than that. However, she is very overhated, which I consider very unfair toward a pure good character like her. Anyway, which animated characters that are non-Avatar do you like most in this meme?
