Finished! Sketch: [link] and base color: [link]Ok, so it's Impa teaching Link the same magic that Zelda uses to turn into Sheik. Alright, now I know that there is some dispute over whether or not Zelda actually turns into a guy using this magic, but at least for the sake of this picture, that's how it works
Personally, I think she does, but that's besides the point.There are also variations on Link's outfit, but I haven't decided which I want to post as a full alternate yet.

I agree with the artist on this, Sheik is most likelly a magical transformation, no amount of padding would be able to hide Zelda's figure so well, however, I am pretty sure Zelda's mentality is still intact from the transformation... which makes Sheik a gay guy... did I just make all the yaoi fanfics out there more accurate? gods, I feel dirty...

It's a fact that Zelda turns into a guy. It says in the manga and the game if you listen closely when you're in the water temple talking to the Zora princess as an adult. I understand the confusion but seriously people, I know how hard it is for you to break away from the female shiek fantasy but he's a guy.

I really wish Nintendo would do something like this in a game, I always thought there should have been a Gerudo mask in Majora's Mask... I'm sure they could come up with some unique abilities for female Link ^^
P.S. I personally am of the camp that Sheik is male, whether it be through Zelda transforming into a guy, or him being a different character (like a bodyguard) by the way ^^

Well thing is we don't see Zelda transform as I recall, doesn't the camera cut away then cut back to Zelda?
To clarify though, I know that officially Zelda and Sheik are the same person in OoT. Truth be told I've probably come more around to that now than when I wrote my comment. I just have fond memories back when I originally played Ocarina of Time on the N64 of my brother and I speculating as to who Sheik was. One of the theories was even Link from an alternate timeline where he failed to insure our Link didn't make the same mistakes ^^

therres a zelda anime manga and no she doesnt use magic all she did was use a disquise and worked for ganon to hide under his nose and deceive him and secrectly help link she doesnt remember who she is though thats the only thing magical about it read the manga.

It doesn't really matter what happens in a manga: I could just as well write a manga in which she actually transforms. In fact, I could make her have a hidden siamese twin that's invisible in the daylight, but that doesn't make it canonical. The manga was put out by Viz, not Nintendo.
