You watched in horror as the two gods fought yet again. You thought you would grow use to it, but it seemed to grow worse and worse since you and the raven-haired brother announced your relationship to the blonde one. Well, maybe we should go back two years when you met the two brothers. It seemed like just yesterday.

You were walking down the busy street to go to work at a small pet shop. You went there every day after school when you were younger and became best friends with the owner’s daughter, Ashlee, and her older brother, Mason. Ever since their father retired last year, Mason was in charge. You were about a block away when you ran into someone, causing you to fall backwards.

“Hey, watch where you’re going you big lump!” You looked up to see who ran into you only to be met with a giant hand in your face.

“I do apologize, for I was looking around instead of paying attention to where I was walking.” You grabbed the hand and were pulled up to your feet with a jolt. You then looked over the blonde, god-like man.

“Thanks.”

“What is your name Midgardian? I am Thor, son of Odin.” You giggled.

“________ ________. So Thor Odinson, god of thunder?” He smiled… proudly? You weren’t really sure.

“Yes! Finally! A Midgardian who believes I am Thor!” His voiced seemed to echo throughout the streets. People began to stare as they walked by. “So where are you off to ________?”

“I’m heading to work at the pet shop down the street.”

“May I walk you to your place of work?” He held out his elbow out and you entangled your arm in it.

“Sure, I don’t see why not.” You began to walk to work, arm in arm with the so called god. Once you arrived to dead pet shop, you looked at the blonde man. “It was nice meeting you. Maybe we can meet again sometime?”

“What time are you done with your work?”

“Three-thirty, why?”
“I will be here at two.” With that, he walked away. You blinked in confusion then walked into work. “Hey Ashlee.”

“Hey ________. Who was the hottie?” You rolled your eyes.

“Thor Odinson.” She belted out a laugh.

“Thor? Son of Odin? God of thunder? Yeah right. That’s Norse mythology ________.” You almost forgot that one of her majors was in Norse mythology. You shrugged and walked to the back room where Mason was doing a quick inventory check.

“Hey Mason.”

“Hey ________. You’re a few minutes later than usual.”

“Yeah. I ran into a Norse demi-god on my way here.” You walked by him to go check in your time card.

“Wait, what?”

“Can’t talk. Gotta get to work.” You walked back out to the front room and began to check all the cages. Finally, quitting time rolled around the corner and you clocked out. As soon as you walked out of the shop, you were enveloped in a huge bear hug. You gasped and tried to look at your attacker, only to recognize a head of long, blonde hair. You giggled and hugged him back. “Hey Thor.”

“Hello my dear ________! Come, I have friends I wish for you to meet!”

“Uhm, alright?”

“Let us go!” He picked you up and began swinging his hammer around. You giggled and then realized you were about ten feet in the air.

“GAHH! Thor! Put me down! How are you doing this?!”

“I am the god of thunder! We have gone over this before, have we not?”

“I didn’t actually think you were a god! I thought you were just a really amazing cosplayer!”

“A… cos-play-er?”

“I’ll explain later, JUST PUT ME DOWN!!” You continued to squirm and scream until he finally landed and walked into a room full of people. “Will you put me down now?” You crossed your arms over your chest.

“I bring my friend, ________!” A man with brown hair and a glowing orb in his chest walked over.

“Thor, you do realize we’re getting ready to have a meeting, correct?”

“Yes. _______, this is the man of Iron.” He finally put you down and the man held his hand towards you.

“The name is Tony Stark, if you haven’t figured it out all ready.” You went to shake his hand, but he had other plans. He brought your hand to his face and gently kissed your knuckles. You blushed slightly at the gesture and looked off to the side, hoping he didn’t notice.

“____(f/n)____ ____(l/n)____.”

“Watch out ________, Stark may take that flirting and well, you might end up disappointed. He’s not much of a relationship kind of guy.” You looked at the brown haired man walking over to join the group. “I’m Clint Barton, or the best archer in the world, Hawkeye.” He grabbed your still outreached hand and shook it. “So what’s a pretty girl like you doing hanging around Thor?”

“I ran into him on the street.” Thor wrapped his arm around your shoulders, pulling you close.

“We have been friends since!”

“Thor, that was only eight hours ago.”

“Alright, back to- who is that?” Everyone turned to look at the man who just walked in.

“Hey Fury. Thor brought home a friend.” You glanced at the smug looking Stark and got a wink in response.

“Thor, you do realize that we’re having a meeting, right?”

“Yes.” The man they call Fury face palmed.

“I’m sorry. I can just leave.”

“That would be for the best Miss…”

“_________. ____(f/n)____ ____(l/n)____.”

“Ah… ________. Ok.” He looked you over. “Actually, we might be able to use you.”

“Fury, you’re not thinking about what I think you’re thinking about, are you?” You looked back at Tony, who’s expression went from smug to worried.

“If you’re thinking that I’m thinking about using her to lure a certain enemy, then yes.”

“I will not allow you to use her to seduce my brother.”

“He can play those mind games and turn her against us. We’re not even sure what she’s capable of yet.” A man with blonde, slicked back hair wearing a white t-shirt and khakis walked over.

“Well Steve, why don’t you bring her to test her abilities after the meeting. “

“Alright, I’m fine with that.” The blonde man turned to you. “I’m Steve Rogers.” He held out his hand and you shook it. You looked at Fury and realized he never gave you his first name.

“The name is Nick Fury. During our meeting, you can have a seat at the bar Miss ____(l/n)____.”

“Ok.” You did as you were told and looked around, examining all the alcohol. You couldn’t wait until you could go home. It’s been a pretty strange day…
