After three hours, they were finally done talking. Steve walked over, only to find you fast asleep.

“Hey bossman, ________’s asleep.”

“Stark, what did I tell you about calling me bossman?”

“Hey Fury, ________’s asleep.”

“Then have Thor bring her to one of your spare rooms.”

“Why can’t I bring her?”

“Because you’re Tony Stark.”

“Good point.”

“Where are your spare rooms, man of iron?” Thor picked you up, earning a groan from you in response.

“I’m up, I’m up. Thor, put me down.” Thor put you on your feet and you stretched, letting out a yawn. “So Steve,” You turned to the smaller blonde man while rubbing your eyes. “What are we doing first?”

“We’ll just go to the training room and see what skills you possess.”

“Ok, let’s go then.” He walked to the training room with you in tow. As soon as he opened the door, he froze.

“I forgot my shield! I’ll be right back.” He ran back upstairs, leaving you alone. Or so you thought. You stepped into the room and looked around. Suddenly, the door shut. You whipped around to look at it. You suddenly sensed someone’s presence behind you. You automatically knew it was Thor’s brother without having to turn around. You slowly turned around to see what the other Odinson looked like and locked eyes with the most gorgeous man you have ever seen.

“Now who would leave such a beautiful woman alone?” His gentle voice made your heart skip a beat.

“Can I help you?” You tried to keep calm as you looked him over. His gorgeous, pale face made you knees buckled. Your palms began to sweat at the sight of his slicked, black hair with the ends feathered out. Your (e/c) eyes found their way back to his emerald ones. This man was supposed to be the enemy, but it took everything you had to keep yourself from running over and hugging him. He walked closer to you, your gazes still locked. His eyes were soft and kind, not hard and emotionless like an enemy’s.

“My my… For a Midgardian, you are… beautiful.” He gently placed his hand on your cheek. You reached up and put your hand on his. “What kind of sorcery are you using to make me feel this way?”

“I don’t know any sorcery…” Suddenly you heard banging on the door. “Your brother knows you’re here…” For some reason, you couldn’t help but whisper.

“I will be back to see you. It may not be right away, but I will come back. I promise.” He kissed you lightly on the forehead and disappeared. You looked around and noticed that it looked like there was a brawl. The door fell in and was replaced with Thor. You turned and looked at him.

“________! Was my brother her- What happened?! Are you hurt?!” He ran over and wiped blood off your cheek. You shrugged.

“I’m fine. He was here, we had a little fight, but then he left something about not hurting a beautiful girl or some shit.”

“A little fight? Everything is knocked over!” You looked at Fury.

“Hey, at least I didn’t blow something up or some shit.”

“Whatever. You’ll continue staying here until renovations at HQ are finished.”

“Can’t I stay at my own place?”

“Then you need to take Thor with you.”

“Why? If you can’t tell, I can take care of myself.” You motioned to the wreckage surrounding you.

“If Loki comes back, Thor can capture him.”

“I could capture him.”

“How about for a couple nights, Thor stays with you, than if nothing happens, you’re on your own.”

“Deal. Two days.” You shook his hand then turned towards Thor. “Ready to go?”

“Yes! I cannot wait to see your place of residence!” He hugged you tightly. “We will be the best of friends!” You giggled and hugged him back. “Goodbye everyone!” He walked home with you and looked around once you were inside. “This place is very… nice. Small, and cluttered, but nice.”

“Yeah. You hungry?”

“Very!” You giggled lightly and walked to the kitchen.

“What do you want to eat?”

“Do you have any of the roasted boar?”

“You mean ham?”

“Yes!” You couldn’t help but start laughing. “Did I do something wrong?”

“I just think it’s funny how weird you are.”

“Is it because I am not used to your Midgardian culture?”

“Pretty much.” He bellowed out a laugh.

“I find it amusing as well.” You made a sandwich for the both of you then walked to you with Thor following you like a lost puppy. “That was a delicious meal ________!”

“Thanks.” The first thing you noticed was an envelope on your pillow. You picked it up and admired the fancy lettering that spelt out your name. You opened it up and read the letter inside.

My dearest ________,

I cannot wait to see you again. I guess that ‘love at first sight’ you Midgardians say is true. I wish we could have had more time together, but my brother can sense when I am near. You are probably wondering why I was in that room, but I will have to explain that another time. You are a very smart girl convincing Fury to have Thor stay with you for only two days. I will miss you for the next forty-eight hours, but I promise that you will always be on my mind.

You smiled. You couldn’t wait to see him again. You hugged the letter than put it in your usually empty night stand. “You can stay in the spare room down the hall Thor.”

“Ok. What was that letter ________? It seemed to make you rather joyful.”

“Oh just a letter from a guy I like. He’s out of town, but he’ll be back in two days.”

“Will I be able to meet your lover?”

“Not right away, sorry. We want to spend some alone time together.”

“That is fine, for I understand, but will I ever be able to meet him?”

“Maybe.” You walked over to your dresser. “Now get out. I’m going to change.” He walked out, closing your door behind him.

“I wish you a goodnight!”

“Goodnight Thor!” You quickly changed then laid in bed. You stared at the ceiling for a few minutes, thinking about your new lover. You wanted to tell Thor so badly that you were in love with his brother, but you were worried that he would be mad. You pulled the letter back out and read it over and over again. You couldn’t wait to see him again. Even though you just met, you knew you were in love with him. You whispered into the air, “Goodnight Loki…” You could’ve sworn you heard his voice respond.

“Goodnight my dear, sleep well.”
