Finally 'finished', with the exception of a couple of spots I obviously missed thanks to the photo *grumble*. This one took a few days due to the translucency of the blue paint, not to mention I had to remake all the stencils I used to put in the glyphs.One thing I do not like about these Reach Sangheili figures is that their armor is not removeable save for the helmet (which in the officer's case, doesn't like to say on!). Well, the shoulder and forearm pieces technically are removable, but it takes a bit of prying. I never managed to get the forearm armor off and I still need to glue the shoulder armor back on (there is a peg, but without glue it is very, very loose).
Anyway, paints were Folkart (the blue) and the rest was Citadel.

What did you use to make him so shiny? and what did you use to keep the paint from chipping?

It looks shiny due to the paint being metallic hues (Metallic Blue Sapphire and Mythral Silver to be exact). I didn't use any kind of varnish or sealent on this figure either.

so effectivly you can mix match armors on these figures?...they need that for the sangheili on the game...that or set them up like the spartans armory.

Well I kind of cheated by making stencils for most of those glyphs.

That's good if you did cause the paint will cover them anyway the glyphs are soo damn tiny!

Only one I really had trouble with was the tiny forerunner circular symbols on the chest piece. Way too small to make a stencil of....

Yes that's the one I have problem with they're too small. Others aren't and I can use my Sharpie silver paint marker.

For details like that though, I must have some kind of physical guide (like a stencil). A reference is usually not enough to ensure I am accurate at reproducing the glyph. Those bloody forerunner symbols is a prime example...*the ones on the blue one really turned out badly*.
