Their comforts make them weak and complicant, never realising that in a moment they can lose everything and become an outcast like me, forced to live on whatever nature provides, if nature deems you worthy of it.No, they are not the strong ones, it is I, an outcast, and other outcasts like me, that know what true strength is." - Orro, the 'Shadow'.
I've been working on this a few hours everyday (between CoH play sessions and other things) for about a week. I'm not completely happy with it, being it's very rare for me to go full blown on scenery like this and thus have little experience coloring it, but I am happy enough. I know my shadows/highlights are likely wonkey in more than one area...so do hit me too badly for that....
And yes, the mystery character I posted a bit back now has a name: Orro (unintentionally named after a Mystic from the movie 'The Dark Crystal').

From the back side if he (she?) Was shorter and not has hoof-like feet one could possibility mistake him/her for Obi-Wan Kenobi if his/her back to us lol. Good artwork, I like the Elite. Any fan fiction trailing this character? Maybe a human huntsman, or a stealthy human follow this Elite out of curiosity and that be the point of view for your story. Just an idea, take it or leave it, good artwork though!Β

There originally was going to be a fanfic regarding this character, unfortunately a combination of factors resulted in it not coming to be: a big one being my harddrive died and it took with it a number of inprogress fics. Β Since then, I have lost pretty much all interest in the Halo genre, though maybe some day I'll adapt the idea to another genre.

First and foremost, the BACKGROUND!!! 
And Orro there, he is very, VERY well-drawn. His pose climbing the rocks, his partially-shadowed expression from the super-epic cloak (cloaks make everything 12x better 
And one last thing... do I smell Elder Scrolls inspiration coming off of this?

I like it, any wilderness setting its awesome to me, being an outdoors-man. It would be interesting seeing or even challenging oneself (A human) to survive on Sangheilios. Nice work! (Btw what is CoH?)

Reminds me a bit of Ther 'Vadam's story, I think that's his name. How he was forced to abandon his keep when it was overrun by a rival keep's warriors and lived in the wild for some time, gathering support from other outcasts, and then returned to his keep and slaughtered the invaders.
Orro seems to have the mentality and spirit to surive and even thrive in the wild. Perhaps he'll share an equally glorious future?
Oh man ... is that the movie I'm thinking about??? Yes it is! That was the movie memory of a lifetime for me ...

Orro pretty much doesn't want anything to do with keep life, after the hell he was put through as a kid due to his condition. So on that matter, it's not likely he will rise to take over a keep anytime soon.

I remember I was in hospital at the time and we were gathering in the TV room one evening to watch a movie. The nurses called it a doll movie so I was like .. feh, silly. But even the fourty year olds said it's an amazing movie so in the end I watched it. I'm glad I did.

Anyway, I do want to write a fic for him (as I really want to write a male/female relationship story again...too much male/male from me lately, lol) and while Orro is largely set in terms of his background and such, the other main character can't make up her mind....

He has four: I use the The Duel style for their mandibles, where the upper two are almost completely hidden by 'cheek skin' (for lack of a better phrase). Plus, that his face is in shadow makes them harder to see....
