WOW! What did you use to make the fur?

It is vintage velvet sheered off close to the cloth and glued on. I wanted a silver fur though and that type of sheen would be hard to get with a natural fiber.

so very welcome. there quite lovely. i surround my self with horror, and try as i might cant compose anything genuinly beautiful. so i know to appreciate some one who can make such beauty.

Well I have something of the oposite problem. Id like to make lots more creepy things ,but still with alot of romantic beauty in it. I have a hard time expressing that.

I often see in fragments stretched out over time. I have like a big puzzle with many diffenrt peices and I have to find which ones go with which idea. Just through flashes of elements and colors and moods.
if you want to coax out your dragon woman imagery make a dry run. Start to make her as if you know exactly where your going. Sculpting might be easier to do this with. Then if it misses the mark you still have a jump off point to decide what was off about it. You dont have to nail it on the first try.

yeah. you know its funny with sketchign i often don know what im going to sketch when i atart. i just kinda manipulate teh structure of a person till some thing comes out. witch is whee you are right sculpying is easier. cuzits easier to tare down and restart.

As you work some things flow out and you make booboos that give you an idea and sometimes becomes something great youd never try out of the blue. Since sculpting doesnt require erasing, persepective or shading you just do what comes natural. The form and gesture. Then you can refine detail as you go.

You already know Woman/dragon.. then you an also look around for something that is almost like what you are thinking. A face of one woman ,an eye of another ,there a lizard skin a color or texture. A weapon. Even thinking what you defiantly dont want. Do you want her sexy or warriorish or proud or timid. Dragons too there are feline dragons, serpernt dragons, lizard dragons, goatlike dragons and a chimera mix.
Once you nix what defiantly isnt right it will narrow down the options.
