Description
I was kind of in Algebra and I had a paper that was blank on the back... Of course I was taking my notes but my bright, orange fox hat attracted the teacher so he kept asking me questions. Like is 2*3*3*5=90 and of course it was out of the blue and I had to do quick head math to say yes...ENJOY!

> v < I take pride in my art. I've been working on it for over four years now (ponies just over a year).
When I want to draw something I always learn from other artists. So I hope my anatomy sheet helps you. Some people have actually told me it's helped them. And I'd love if you'd share art you create with the help of it.
Don't you think little of your art. Always think "I'm better than a week ago, a week from now I'll be better than today." Build on the fact you'll become an amazing artist with practice. I believe in you!

haha well way to make me smile! and deffffinitely. I've been staring at it all day trying to recreate the legs and such. usually they come out funky but every once in a while they come out alright, however, if you notice my two pony drawings are both basically in the same position. i havent even come close to mastering that one look. and sadly i usually only have time to draw during the weekends D: but its okay
thank goodness you had that math class or i wouldnt have been able to see this! there arent that many good anatomy guides as there are. and GOOD. you should take pride. you're extremely talented and extremely awesome!

Don't I know it about the good references. Heck, I drew an actual horse skeleton into a MLP body so that I could be accurate and that's how I learned all these little tricks about where to break and where joints are.
The key to learning something is to repeat it many times. That's why tracing isn't bad. *hint hint*
I really only have a bit of time to draw but I also use it to relieve stress so I often...create...more time to draw. Once you get the hang of it, a nice sketch comes on in a few minutes.

haha i honestly just got done tracing a picture and then i read this! hopefully it means im doing something right! but yeah i import a drawing and trace or draw beside it to get used to the strokes and such. lol i would've done that a long time ago but im new to photoshop so i just figured it out today. i did see some pictures of a mlp's skelington. it was kind of creepy. maybe i should look at that then! haha

I'm not good with Photoshop. Instead, I use FireAlpaca and MyPaint. They're less advanced but they work for me.

There's someplace you can download SAI for free but I don't know where.
FireAlpaca is what I use as a replacement for SAI because I'm on a Mac. MyPaint is incredible in my opinion. Everything from scratch. It's so basic but the brushes and tools are just amazing. Mine is the experimental version because there isn't an official one for Mac. But I used to have the one for Windows and... My lord, it was awesome.

It's an infinite canvas and only saves on the area you work on. I like the pencil tool a LOT and prefer the "bulk" pen for coloring. I'd just mess around with each tool/brush until you find the ones you like.

Ohhhh okay. I was wondering about that infinite canvas. Problem is that there's no pen pressure sensitivity for me. Is that a feature?

I can slightly see that you drew this on the back of a page filled with text. Hahaha, anyway, why must you be so AMAZING at drawing? I absolutely suck at art! I use all these types of things to help me, but I end up failing in the end.

Originally that paper was for my Communications class. It has "Mercury and the Woodman" on the other side which is the story I'm telling for my midterm.
Amazing is a bit of a stretch in my mind. Practiced sounds better to me. I started drawing over four years ago and adapting to ponies was easy for me because I already drew chibi a lot so already had the concept of circles and sizing things this way and that.
No matter how your art looks now, your future art will look very practiced and with much purpose! But that's only if you keep going and don't let your feelings right now about it make you give up or never aim higher.
I've seen your art. I'm sure that you'll be one of those great artists I remember for years to come.
