Even though it's almost summer, I got distracted again by Marvelous Designer and I tried my hand at a dress. I'm beginning to understand better why some objects I've purchased or downloaded act a certain way. I do not, however, understand how to fix that.

Regardless, this tool is quite fun, and - like the D-formers - pushing the envelope with trying to make clothing has caused me to have to learn a lot more about daz. I'm *starting* to understand UV maps, but I'm not yet understanding how, if at all, I could fix my problems with them. So far, the easiest way is to cheat and use textures that don't show pattern problems as much.

The other thing is to realize that some of the problems I've had with objects have been because they've actually been like a real world object. On the whole, still very interesting. Frustrating at times, for sure. But also interesting.

Anyways, let me know what you think about the dress, or the girls if you are so inclined. I attempted to model a real dress - definitely have some more understanding in how to add morphs, stylings, and the such.

PS - I decided to use my current favorite of the Staci clones for this one - Alpha. She's accompanied by Paige. Together the two of them have different enough body types to start to see how the dress reacts to them.
