pardon the "necro" but I think it's never too late for praise. I -LOVE- the gritty veteran look. I always want to imagine characters like this and it captures the image I like in generic soldiers perfectly. The details are rough but defined enough to have everything look perfectly clear, good job and I look forward to seeing the rest of your work!

How do you get such juicy, flowing brushwork? Is it done in photoshop? Beautiful colours!

reminds me of my character design of one of my friends that is in my comic as well... huge shoulder armor plates and same type of face or hair... i gata dig it up from my old archives... must be around 3 years old by now... anyway... the guy would be dictator of Earth...
nice job, i like it... the armor and facial expression states, "dont bother me with your insulence..." "dont patranize me..."

This is AWESOME! I'd kill for that Sallet and Bevor w/ leather shoulder pads. Kill con man.

Lovely work with colour, I particularly like the reds around the bottom of the composition.

This is a pretty awesome piece.
I do some writing on a play by post fantasy setting roleplay site, and I would really like to use this as the avatar for one of my characters. Would this be possible?
If you're against it then thats cool, I respect your right to control your art. If yes though, that would be awesome and I'd post all credit for it to you.

he looks somehow very contemporary, despite his weapons, and armour. Hard to put my finger on why. I like it!
