Description
Her name, as well as the season of her surroundings, is Autumn. Just felt like doing a random portrait to cheer me up a bit after losing some of my other artwork on a corrupted hard drive.

Awesome work ^____^ If I hadn't read and really stared at the picture I would've thought this was a photo manip. I love her hair, but since I have my own to oogle xD my favorite part I think is her eyes and lips.

The eyes did turn out great, and I like the lips too... I've always had a hard time with lips, I dunno why. But yes, these seemed to turn out fairly well. Thanks so much for the comment.

Thanks so much! I'm still trying to decide exactly what particular technique I want to use for hair... I love the definition that these single strands gives, but it lacks a lot of the softness that I would like to portray, too. Anyway, glad you liked it, and thanks SO much for the +fav!

The background wasn't as hard as one may think, actually. I was expecting to put half the time into it that I ended up putting into the girl, but it wasn't more than an hour or so. I'm so glad you liked it, and thank you so very much for the fav!

ITs funny, I was just looking through stock not a week ago and saw that same picture and mentioned to Gabri how pretty she was. And here it is painted! Crazyness. Looks wonderful! I kinda wish her actual shoulder was in the bottom corner and not the earth. I think it would help visually to fill her into the frame. Beautiful coloring on this one, I'm cosidering faving it as well. I'll ba back I bet. xD Great work!

Oh my gosh! I kept looking at it, stopped by your off DA gallery, some great stuff ther I must say, but point is I realized that the earth-like thing I was seeing was really her sleeve! I feel so silly now, I noticed the other sleeve and after loking at some of your other ones realized she has a puffy-like sleeve on! xD *slaps self*

Oh, I thought you meant the ground just to the left of her. Yeah, she does have a sleeve over there, although it doesn't go entirely all the way to the frame. Part of that was to show off my purty background, too - though she's certainly not framed as well as she could be because of it. You're still right on that count.

Yes, it was drawn entirely by hand using my Wacom tablet. It took.... hrm, about 15 hours or so? I've been drawing for most of my life, but couldn't manage people very well until this last year or so. Thanks again for the comment
