As a gamer, this is very disheartening...
Iwata was a very humble man. He looked healthy, so this took me by surprise.
This is the quote I remember the most from him:
"On my business card, I'm a corporate president. In my mind, I'm a game developer. But in my heart, I am a gamer."
RIP Mr. Iwata. You will be missed very much.

I never met him, but I last saw him on Nintendo Direct back in April.Β He was at peak form.

Iwata wasn't the first President of Nintendo (the previous head of the company before him was Hiroshi Yamauchi)
He's been President since 2002. There will be more games, it'll just be different for a while.
I heard that Miyamoto (the creator of Mario) might be the next head of the company.

A little piece of my childhood died today when I found out, but then I think back and celebrate that he left us with Mario Maker.
He knew what was coming and wanted to inspire the next generation of Game Designers. That's what I like to think anyways.

It's so sad to see died like Satoru Iwata. I hate to see what will Mario and all of the Nintendo characters do without him.
At least Mario and everyone knows that they can take what they got and fly with it. Maybe this Satoru Iwata maybe gone, but he's still inside of us, inside Mario, inside Link, even inside Bowser.
