This gives me such Samurai Jack vibes.
"MUHAAAAAAAAA!!!, That sword cane. I remember that blade. I recognize your blood.
Β You are the son of the fool who imprisoned defeated me those many years ago.
Β No matter. neither he, nor theΒ sword caneΒ had the power to slay me forever...and neither do you!"

I'm trying very hard to not make an Attack on Titans reference. But in other words, this is epic

Sly was really brave to confront all of the fiendish five to retrieve his family book-especially Clockwerk. O_O"
This drawing makes me think it would've been more epic if they first met on the GROUND instead of with Sly flying with Carmelita's jet-pack. It gives a much more sinister approach, a much more fitting entrance for Clockwerk.

Yeah I've always wondered what would have happened if Sly hadn't used Carms Jetpack.

Always good to see some art of Sly facing off with his arch-nemesis. I like the approach you took with Clockwerk, here--rather than narrow down his appearance, you drew the malevolent owl as a shadowy, formless dread worthy of nightmares. I think that reinforces just how menacing he truly is.

Thank you! I tried making him look menacing wile adding some fearful feeling into his look, so ended up just making him a shadow with warm light coming from behind him.Β

*Nag* Indeed. Personally, I find that Clockwerk is possibly the best video game villain, besides the Overlord from Overlord and Overlord II, that I have ever seen. What makes him a great villain is that you don't know his past, all you know is that he is a relentless killing machine that will not stop until your family is dead and that he has been hunting your family line for more than 4713 years!

Exactly! Β
Clockwerk is to Sly as The Joker is to Batman. It's what makes them such interesting villains!

*Nag* And another thing, I do not believe that you can kill Clockwerk. He's too smart for that. I mean, if he's smart enough to create highly advanced technology that allows him to live for millennium and not age, then he's smart enough not to make his death as simple as destroying a microchip that was stuck within his mouth.

maybe he has a backup brain in his secret lab? He's proven to be a really smart foe.
Many people have shown in many types of media that memory/data/a persons brain??? can be stored on a disc. Clockwerk knew he was coming so he had enough time to prepare for his arrival.Β

NagandEmerald In reply to slydaniels [2013-07-17 21:08:42 +0000 UTC]
*Nag* Perhaps the hate chip was just a conduit for his hatred and other nasty thoughts. He has proven capable of making highly advanced robotic parts and he is certainly capable of keeping his brain as the only organic component left, yet, since the rest of him is machine, he requires a conduit. His brain is probably still alive and well. Arpeggio was the last known person with the Clockwerk Brain, so it would be somewhere that he lived. Perhaps his old boarding school that possibly was closed down. But it's quite possible that he also has a backup plan in case his brain case fails to protect him. Your theory could prove very possible and I would think that Clockwerk had other, more destructive and heinous goals to accomplish before his time was up besides wiping out an entire family line.
