Description HUGE download 5 meg image - DOWNLOAD please so you can read it

It starts in the upper left, then arrows sorta tell you where and how to read it... it seemed like a good idea at the time.

SO Preface to this. I apologize if you are not a native English speaker. This is how I wanted to make it and if anyone anything clarified because it isn't clear the way I wrote it.

ANYTHING that isn't clear please tell me, I'll elaborate, make more explanations, I even plan to make youtube videos or other things explaining my process, but by no means is it a perfect process. It changes and evolves, I learn new things all the time.

This is the first of many, or first of a couple.

I hope this inspires you, informs you, and gives you some insight into what I do. There are better teachers and far more experienced people to learn from, and I also hope this also inspires you to find them as well.

-------------- RESOURCES / ANIMATION PROGRAMS --------------

Plastic Animation Paper Pro, is free, forever. And useable for commercial work if you wanted to. It is PC only.

Pencil is an animation program that has some quirks but review the tutorials and see if it is for you

Easytoon
Various versions are out there. 1.9.5 is the one I learned on and it has some really really good features. It is SUPER simple. This is a great forum I used to frequent, [link]
You should be able to find the most recent version of it there.

Digicel Flipbook
It has a demo, and you have to pay for the pro version but it is what I use right now and I have the studio version.

SoftimageMOD
Do you like / understand 3D
SoftimageMOD is a free FULL version of softimage, which is one of my favorite 3D programs to use, it takes getting used to, but it all feels very logical to me after finding where the buttons are that are common to all 3D programs.

----------------- BOOKS ---------------------

I refer and use my own drawn examples from...
The Animator's Survival Kit

other books I don't directly reference but are good books (I'll reference later)

I don't know if this is too old to comment on, but do you know any sites where I could get some short sound clips? I want to practice timing but I can't cut my own sound.

Nothing is too old to comment on

www.11secondclub.com/

Go there, they have a new sound clip a month.  11 seconds or so every month, and they've been doing it for years.  You should be able to download their back catalogue of clips, so check it out and see what you can find that fits your needs ^__^

This is really good. A nice break down for begginers and people who have dabbled. ^^ I wish I could spend all my time animating... like right now for instance! alas... I'm at work now

New comment. Is there any good animation software you know for mobile devices? I do all of my artwork on a Note 8 tablet. I personally highly suggest it, but you do you. Anyway, are there any good ones for android? Er... something.

For mobile devices there are some out there, if you are working on a surface big enough then anything that's out there should get you started.

Yeah. The ones I've found though only have onion skin for the previous frame alone. That eliminates any possibility of in-betweening.

I'll be doing animation practices from this... Very helpful.. I was wondering if you were working on any projects at the moment?

Glad it was some help - Things that really helped me I put in the description, those books are phenomenal and since it looks like you are a student of animation I'd highly suggest reading and really getting into what can make a good foundation for animation regardless the style you go with in the end.

I have a game project I'm working on with a guy at work at the moment as far as a big consistent project would go.
