Huh. That looks a lot more like Archon than it does Malgus to be honest...

It was the way of the Sith... and Malgus could not do it. Hatred, fear, passion and ambition. These were the emotions of the Sith, and the emotion that drove them on their never ending crusade. Feelings beyond these more primal emotions were to despised. Hope a lie to be laughed at. Peace a weakness to take advantage of. Love...
Love was one Malgus, the butcher and right hand of the Emperor, found himself in inner conflict with. Yes, love was not for the Dark Side. And yet Malgus felt it within, beating in the heart of Eleena Daru, his one true love. She had been his constant companion and ally, and one he'd have died for and killed for. On many occasions, he did. She was his constant and his strength... and yet his greatest weakness.
Sith could not love. Sith could only hate. So long Eleena lived, he would never be strong enough. To this end, he sought to rectify this.
Malgus' crimson blade stood a mere inch from her beating heart. Her eyes stared into his. There wasn't anger, or even fear in them. There was... sadness. The gloom over the inevitability. And in this, something broke within the once terrifying weapon of the Empire. His weapon fell from him, he cowered on the floor, utterly terrified of what he had come so close to doing.
Eleena took him in her arms, and they shared a moment he wished would last forever. But it couldn't. It wouldn't. Already, others felt his weakness, and would come to take him. He would be brought before the Emperor. He would be broken. She would be broken.
No. He would not allow this. With saber in hand, and his love in the other, he fled into the deep of space. He would be pursued. He would be hunted. And yet it would be his hunters who would lie broken at his feet. For it was not fear nor anger that gave him strength. It was something more, something stronger than hatred.
Eleena was his constant and his strength. And in this, he found a new path lying before him. A path of light. With unsure steps but with Eleena at his hand, he took this path. He became that which he hated a time ago. But he did not care. So long as she was with him, he would go into the unknown... and beyond.

I'd like to, but it would take a bit of time. Β I write good, but not always quick to right away.
Anyway, great work. Β Jedinamic!

So after the Sith Emperor's Death, Malgus decides to abandon the Dark Side, seeing that serving the Emperor almost got himself killed, and decided to redeem himself by joining the Jedi Order. Though this process would take some time.

Veradun was born on border planet, belonged to the True Sith Empire, in 4008 BBY. Long before the 3948-3939 BBY Great Galactic War 8-year-old Veradun has been taken by Andur and Nomi Sunriders. Young Jedis gave him Sunrider surname. After that event Andur, Nomi, Veradun and newborn Vima Sunriders returned to Republic space. Jedi Master Vandar Tokar personally trained adoptee of the Sunriders. In 24 years he's been knighted and appointed as a master to the son of Vima - Revan. By 3984 BBY Revan Sunrider was only 3-year-old boy. But Veradun's efforts helped Revan to become the youngest Jedi Knight in history (he was 17-year-old, when Grand Master Nomi Sunrider knighted her grandson). Few years later Mandalorians (Mandalore the Ultimate was NOT under influence of the True Sith) attacked Galactic Republic from the Outer Rim and ex-Sith Space. While the Jedi Council decided not to intervene, Revan and Alek Squinquargesimus - Revan's childhood friend - founded rogue group of Jedi and Grey Jedi, known as Revanchists (or officially "Galactic Liberation Army"). Veradun Sunrider also joined GLA in hope to crush the Mandalorians once and for all.
In 3961 BBY Revan and Veradun Sunriders confronted Mandalore the Ultimate. Leader of the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders challenged Veradun to single combat aboard his flagship. Veradun accepted his challenge and boarded the vessel, where he engaged in a duel to the death with the warrior chieftain. Despite Mandalore's strength, he was eventually overcome by his Jedi opponent; Veradun struck down Mandalore, who ended up dying at the Jedi's feet. The last Taung's words were "Sooner or later Mandalorians will rise again. Remember this, Jetii...". Unlike Revan and Malak, Veradun decided to return. He maked one of the biggest mistakes in his life. High Jedi Council judged him for "crimes". But if Gordon Parkinson (my own Jedi Exile) has been exiled, Veradun, not hiding his contempt, talked every his mind about High Council. Especially about Nomi Sunrider. He called her hypocrite for unwillingness to stand against Mandalorians. After that VeradunΒ announced his departure from the Order.
2 years later Revan and Malak returned from Unknown Regions and started Jedi Civil War. Grey Jedi Veradun Sunrider in his willingness to help Revan to redeem formed his own Strike Force, called "Swords of the Republic". Along with Jedi Order "Swords of the Republic" participated in evacuation of Telosians in 3958 BBY and Battle of Dathomir in 3957 BBY. SR operatives captured Emperor Revan onboard his flagship "Afflatus" at great cost: most of SR strike team has been destroyed, Veradun endured almost fatal wounds. Amazingly, but Veradun didn't hold a grudge against half-dead Revan. One year has passed. Revan (known as Republic ODST sergeant) learned about his true identity from Bastila and Veradun. If Bastila wanted to follow the will of the Council, Veradun wanted to reveal the truth as soon as possible, before Darth Malak could did. However, VeradunΒ severely injured Malak and escaped with Revan, Bastila, Carth and the rest of the Ebon Hawk crew. When Revan and Veradun won the duel, Alek Squint finally redeemed and passed on. Both Sunriders cremated himΒ in the manner of a Jedi on Rakata Prime...

Anytime. Β BTW, in canon Revan is NOT a Sunrider. That's my own theory.

If it were me, I would've not have him have the breathing mask. Like in the earlier Old Republic trailers. Cause he still looks creepy with it, even as a Jedi. Nevertheless, this doesn't stop it from being awesome

Well thanks for the suggestion! It's true that he still looks creepy but there was a lot of Jedis that did looked a bit scary

Veradun (Darth Malgus' true name, a closely kept secret) was born on an Imperial-controlled planet shortly conquered by the Republic. He was found by young Jedi Knight Kao Cen Darach, who took him under his wing, like a father figure Veradun never had (his father being the resident Sith Lord killed at Darach's hand). As they grew, they became close as brothers, and unsurprisingly became Master and Padawan. His impressive lightsaber skills landed him the role of Duelmaster of the Order, and one of the most steadfast warriors against the Empire. During a skirmish on Alderaan whilst visiting House Organa, Veradun endured almost fatal wounds at the hands of Imperial commandos, saved only by fellow Knight Satele Shan. Consigned to wearing a life-sustaining respirator for the rest of his days, Veradun retired from the battlefront at a sadly young age, instead training promising young Padawans and studying the ways of the Force in the Great Knowledge Repository of Tython, aspiring to become an even more powerful and wise servant of the Light.
Loving the new variety, can't wait for more!

You think Malgus would have his mask if he was on the lightside?

Maybe! He could have the same accident he had as a sith!
