Didn't see you as a Trekky!! No the music does not play all night long. The light show only lasts around 10 minutes and happens about once per hour after dark but think it finishes around midnight. At the base of the Burj there is a fountain set in a lake and, just before the light show there is a fountain show, also in time to the beat of music! On my photo "Floor 125"  you can see the lake at the bottom of the photo. In the blue part you can see a dark shape which looks like a circle with 2 lines leading to it. These are the fountains. Yes it is wonderful!!

And yes, I'm a Trekky loving especially the old Spock-Kirk-Series

I have only watched the old series. I know it’s a bit dated now and the cast have either died or are well into old age but I never fancied the newer versions. The change of actors just didn’t seem right. Currently watching old series on Sky TV.

My favourite is currently "Agatha Christie's Poirot" with the wonderful David Suchet. He is the perfect Poirot! Peter Ustinov is very good, but he is Peter Ustinov. David Suchet is Poirot

These series is pretty old, too, starting 1989, but I saw it first time three months ago

I love Agatha Christie but mostly watched the Miss Marple ones rather than Poirot. Joan Hickson was brilliant but when her role was taken over by another actress I stopped watching. Never thought Ustinov was quite right for Poirot.

I don't know the Miss Marple ones, but I will look in our library, they have lots of old series

I only know Margaret Rutherford and find her brilliant though A.Christie didn't estimate her.

Thank you. A photo cannot do justice to the experience. It was amazing!! Colours and patterns on the building changed in time to music. There was also a water fountain opposite which timed the jets of water to music. I could not stop smiling!!

Thank you. It was more amazing being there. I just stood watching with a big smile on my face: the colour and patterns  constantly change and it's all done in time to music. Incredible.

It was amazing. I don't usually like cities but Dubai is so diverse: barren desert, fantastic architecture (including the tallest building in the World) old spice markets and so much luxury. It was a fantastic experience. Loved it!!
