Description After seeing a painting I did for a German class, my mother wanted a village scene for herself. Inking in all the cobblestones nearly drove me insane.

Inking in the cobblestones makes this a firm favourite. The effort you have put into this shines through - amazing.

It took FOREVER. I think one of my pens died even. But it was worth it.

Definitely worth it - a real "tour de force" or should that be "erstaunliche Leistung"

It looks very Bavarian... Or Saxon!Β

Anyway, very pretty!

It looks more like being in the Alps of the state Baden-WΓΌrttemberg (west of Bavaria), because u will hardly find a Fachwerkhaus (half-timbered-house) in southern Bavaria^^

Aaah, yes, they have those famous wooden chalets in S. Bavaria!Β

Thank you! I was just trying to make it look dream-like and realistic at the same time.

Wow man, this looks amazing! I especially love the forest areas - the use of colour there is really brilliant.

And good job on the cobblestones, I take my hat off to you for putting in that amount of effort. o.O Pays off though, since this looks very realistic.

I hate it when trees all look the same color in some art so I try to use a variety. Luckily watercolors make it easy to blend and keep the colors vivid. Thanks for the generous and kind feedback.

Yeah, it really adds to the depth and realism of the scene.

You're welcome ^^

Wow so beautiful this looks really like a historical german town! I could imagine this to be somewhere in the southern part of Baden-WΓΌrttemberg.

I had fun gathering reference photos from google.de. I just love fachwerkhaus architecture and German landscapes. It makes me happy to know a German approves! Thanks for suggesting it for the group!
